Nobody really knows what they are saying, but i think it just means, if you keep falling from where you are, then maybe your better off staying where you fall. She keeps trying to be something more (higher social status which is her bf, height=bed as opposed to floor), and falling back to who she is, maybe she should just stay there and be happy within that. just my idea...

To me means..well it's a metaphor..that her boyfriend just sleeps with her..then tosses her to the side when he is finished..and that's all he wants her for. So it's like she might as well sleep on floor because he'll kick her out of bed when he has got what he wants anyway.

Kinda..if you see what I mean :)

Pehaps I am wrong though.

wow..blink puts a couple metaphors in their song and all of the sudden the song is "brilliant". i think its a good song, and better than most by them, but it's far from brilliant. Wanna hear brilliant? go listen to Cursive. thats fucking brilliant.

this is a great song to listen to when you feel basically like a little emo boy...haha its the only way i can describe it. not my favorite song, but when im in the mood for it, its great!

i love the fact that this song was named emo back in 1997...before the genre was all crazy big like it is today...i love this song...i appreciate any good emo song...prolly the best emo band was At the drive-in, taking back sunday is pretty damn emo, ha i love it all.

Emo started in the late 80'S in the DC hardcore scene. I would say the best emo band was/is Still Life. Do you self a favor and find the song 'small' its damn fine. oh and this song is a pretty sweet blink182 song. pretty much everything blink released with the exception of Take Off... was good. Take Off... sucked very very badly

I think that this song is about a girl who is in love with a guy who is messin her around coz really he is in love with someone else.

"she's better off sleeping on the floor coz she fell right off the bed" - Really she was pushed off the bed coz this other girl is in her place kinda thing.

"she's proved she's strong" this is about the girl who the guy is in love with, she is strong by takin her guy away from her.

i could be wrong but its just wot i fink

yea all you guys are stupid....you're overanalyzing this song way to much....blink's great, but theyre not lyrical geniuses. In fact, there lyrics are all really simple. by saying "she's better off sleeping on the floor..." he's saying that she's better off on the floor than in the bed with some mangy lying sack of shit like him. it has nothing to do with social stature or any other shit like that and in this song he's trying to get the point across that he really likes her and he knows she would be better off with him rather than the other guy. yea. i'm right.
