So we ask time to mean something, anything, changin our hobbies, our passions and sometimes our dreams just to achieve something better, something that can meang a fucking thing to us. And than seasons are passing by...

    General Comment:can mean so many different things. after his lateralus experience i feel one is coming down and sensitive very irascible and just mentioning the wrong thing will start up a storm of anger.. or could mean if you ask him the meaning of the song, prepare to have a storm of emotions worked up. just my outlook

    My Interpretation:In my mind you can't look at any one piece of this album without considering the whole. There are alot of theories on hidden occult intents. I personally think this record is a ground up ritual for evoking a higher for of self or invoking a "godform" if you will. The record builds in intensity until it eaves out for Laterals. I don't know about you, but I feel like I have had my soul scoured by this point in the record. Now it is time to take a breath and take stock of what has changed in you. And a time to brush off concerns and those nagging things in the back of your mind. Lets not focus on the past but instead, lets get lost in the beauty of the rainstorm after the hurricane. Lets brush asid those things that are less than optimistic and brazenly become mesmerized by the simple things.

    General Comment:I think this song is about life and change. To embrace change and to not avoid it or hate it, no one likes it but to just become on better terms with it. Make your choices and you can always sit back and see how it is that's the great thing about it!

    General Comment:It seems to me that this song is about an interpersonal relationship, probably one where the participants are no longer really communicating with one another. I've been in this kind of relationship with women; the kind where, as time goes on, you lose track of one another and it ultimately comes to a point where the interaction is pretty much gone.

    "Mention something, mention anything." In other words, just say -something.- Try to communicate with me, etc. "Watch the weather change" is his promise that it will invoke a reaction in their relationship (for better or worse).

    My interpretation is more of a feel from the way he's singing the words.

    General Comment:well if you look up the word disposition it means A person's inherent qualities of mind and character.
    SO with that being said. I personally think the song is about a relationship or friendship with someone.

    Watch the weather change to me means watch how that person changes over time. More than likely it would be for the worse. He wants him or her to speak to him again. "mention something mention anything"

    He just wants to regain that relationship, but he knows he can't say anything to her or him to change how she now feels so he must watch the weather change. In other words watch him or her go on with their life.

    Song Meaning:This song reminds me of meditation, of observing one's thoughts. Thoughts drift and dissipate like clouds, and you'll find this to be true if you watch closely enough. Personally, the music seems neutral-- void of actual emotion, much the way one tries to be when meditating. I never really understood this song until I started to meditate. This song alludes to the fact that thoughts influence emotion, influence your consciousness. From one second to the next, nothing about your thoughts is exactly the same. It is in a constant state of flux, evolution or devolution.

    General Comment:In my opinion, not only myself but many others can relate to this song due to their constant changing moods, situations which could be good or bad, and changing characteristics. The song makes me look deeply into myself and gives me flashbacks.
