    General Comment:Although this song is very short and some stupid people would say it's pointless, it has an amazing meaning behind. It is certainly one of my favorite songs. I think if you want it longer just loop it like 3 times and there, it's a perfect 2 min song!

    General Comment:Yes. One of the Sad Sappy Sucker songs that I wish lasted like 3 minutes longer. With jamming. These lyrics are so good. Hit home for me. Sometimes I sit around and think "I could achieve everything I ever set my mind to in life and I'm still going to die like that smelly hobo over there." Which is true, but negative. And on the other hand, what's the point of being alive if you're not going to do anything with your life? Isaac Brock doesn't solve problems, he just addresses them. Which is really okay because it's the "the meaning of life" question anyway and no one has ever really gotten that close to the right answer there. Except Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, and John Cleese.

    General Comment:I like how the instrument on this song is an accordian. It kind of goes back and forth, in and out as you play it. Not sure if it's intentional or not.

    General Comment:This song is sheer brilliance and I can barely understand half of the meanings it may have, but one thing that strikes me is the comparison between ping-pong and think long; that's all that the person who doesn't think has in his/her head... they're just wasting their life away taking up space and not TRULY living.

    General Comment:Modest Mouse uses symbols and paradox thoughtout their lyrics and song titles all the time (ex. tundra desert, night on the sun). They say everything i try to say but cant put into words, not as much in this song though. Isaac Brock is a genius when it comes to making lyrics. I wish this song was a bit longer because its so brilliant. the background singer ties the accordian and vocals in real nice.

    what i think isaac is saying in this song is that its impossible to not know that everything dies, because death is a part of life. The line where he says, "if you're not thinking at all i dont know why you're alive." is saying that only if your dead can you not think and realize that youre not dead. its simple and complex at the same time.
