    General Comment:The music makes me think it's about heroin/opiates, as it's very mellow. But he's talking about twitching, so meth or some sort of stimulant makes sense. Basically, he's saying the only thing makes him happy is drugs... "it takes a needle point to smile".

    General Comment:I love this song. I too believe it's about heroin, but not just about a trip or anything trivial like that. this is modest mouse, so it's about much more. It's about the ravage and destruction it can do to one's life and those around him. the character is in a viscous cycle (hence the repetition) where he hates what the drug has done to him, so he decides to stay gone for awhile to forget, and the result is that he is gone for everyone that deserves to have him be in their life. I have a personal vendetta for this drug, as it has taken someone important in my life away from me, and I could definately relate to this song. Brock is so good at writing drug songs.

    General Comment:Although after even more listens, the rather relaxed feeling of the song and the vocals make me think it is indeed about heroin. Heroin is a better drug anyway, so I'll just convince myself that's what it's about.
