Lyrics for Bugs as interpreted by Ark

Bugs Lyrics
All these...

I got bugs
I got bugs in my room
Bugs in my bed
Bugs in my ears
Their eggs in my head
Bugs in my pockets
Bugs in my shoes
Bugs in the way I feel about you

Bugs on my window
Trying to get in
They don't go nowhere
Waiting, waiting...
Bugs on my ceiling
Crowded the floor
Standing, sitting, kneeling...
A few block the door

And now the question's:
Do I kill them?
Become their friend?
Do I eat them?
Raw or well done?
Do I trick them?
I don't think they're dumb
Do I join them?
Looks like that's the one

I got bugs on my skin
Tickle my nausea
I let it happen again
They're always takin' over
I see they surround me, I see...
See them deciding my fate
Oh, that which was once...was once up to me...
Now it's too late

I got bugs in my room...one on one
That's when I had a chance
I'll just stop now
I'll become naked
And with the...I'll become one

its not about insects. its bugs as in listening devices. but its not about those either. basically, this song is a lot like corduroy or not for you or half the songs on vitalogy. as he gets more famous, his privacy is being invaded and its making him uncomfortable and confused. he doesnt know what to do about all the attention. in the end, everyone knows so much about him that its like hes naked.

Um...I though it was about Pearl Jam's record company trying to control the band or something. Probably wrong though.

Eddie on an accordian, haha, do you know when he made this song he was playing it to everyone and jokingly saying "this is the best song we've ever done" or something along those lines.

This song confuses me.... not the song but people's opinion about pearl jam and then this song existing.....
Quote.....: "Yeah i Listened to pearl jam for the first two albums, then they started to take themselves too seriously and their music began to suffer they lost their edge."
How can you say pearl jam takes themselves too seriously when they released this song on a STUDIO ALBUM!!!
This song is so Fun and laid back but at the same time it is urgent and nervous it is very unsure of it self..... Eddie is clearly feeling insecure of his environment in this song

This song is great. I think you can sense what it's about, it's not supposed to be hyper analyzed. It's just about having stresses and problems in your life and feeling like your will is being usurped.

JF, maybe use a comma or maybe a period next time. It helps, you know to just let people know how to read it

I just picture Eddie lying around in his living room drinking diet soda when all these butterflies invade and swarm and by the end he decides to "join them" so he dances around with them. I am so messed up.

Isn't it obvious that this is Eddie's last song and cry for help before the entire band was taken over by an underground revolutionary culture of raging mind-altering insects.

Although this song has indeed gotten under my skin, some may argue this song is where the band jumped the shark.

In all seriousness, i thought the song was about incest, and the "prison syndrome", in which people gradually come to relate to their "masters (for a lack of a better word)"... like just about every Pearl Jam song it is terrific i think.
