Gazing through the window at the world outside.
Wondering will Mother Earth survive.
Hoping that mankind will stop abusing her, sometime.

After all there's only just the two of us.
And here we are still fighting for our lives.
Watching all of history repeat itself, time after time.

I'm just a dreamer, I dream my life away.
I'm just a dreamer, who dreams of better days.

I watch the sun go down like everyone of us.
I'm hoping that the dawn will bring a sign.
A better place for those who will come after us, this time.

I'm just a dreamer, I dream my life away. (oh yeah)
I'm just a dreamer, who dreams of better days.

Your higher power maybe God or Jesus Christ.
It doesn't really matter much to me.
Without each others help there ain't no hope for us.
I'm living in a dream of fantasy, oh yeah yeah yeah!

If only we could all just find serenity.
It would be nice if we could live as one.
When will all this anger, hate and bigotry be gone?

I'm just a dreamer, I dream my life away. (today)
I'm just a dreamer, who dreams of better days. (ok)
I'm just a dreamer, who's searching for the way. (today)
I'm just a dreamer, dreaming my life away. (oh yeah yeah yeah)

My Interpretation:This is simply Ozzy's own version of Lennon's "Imagine". The piano on this song is musically very similar to "Imagine". The lyrics are also quite similar to "Imagine".

General Comment:This is one of those songs where the meaning is fairly clear - it's about mankind mistreating Earth, damaging both each other and the environment.

Personally I love this song; it's so calm that it forms a stark contrast with Ozzy's heavier tracks (which, lets face it, is exactly what he's known for). It's beautiful, and along with Goodbye to Romance shows that Ozzy can write softer music and make it work.

General Comment:Ozzy is king! he never lost it. and he never will. This shows his softer side, and yes, its not different to his earlier works (which i like very much, too), but there is nothing wrong with this, right? i dont understand those who say that ozzy lost it. actually, im glad that hes not always playing the same stuff.
    beautiful song

General Comment:I don't get that people think that this is too soft for Ozzy. I'm not crazy about this song or the album in particular, but he's always had songs like this since the very beginning. Goodbye to Romance?? Mama, I'm Coming Home?? Hell, even in Black Sabbath, he had Changes.
