Please come now I think I'm falling
I'm holding on to all I think is safe
It seems I found the road to nowhere
And I'm trying to escape
I yelled back when I heard thunder
But I'm down to one last breath
And with it let me say, let me say

Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down

I'm looking down now that it's over
Reflecting on all of my mistakes
I thought I found the road to somewhere
Somewhere in His grace
I cried out heaven save me
But I'm down to one last breath
And with it let me say, let me say

Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down

Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down, I'm so far down

Sad eyes follow me
But I still believe there's something left for me
So please come stay with me
'Cause I still believe there's something left for you and me
For you and me for you and me

Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking

Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down

Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down

Please come now I think I'm falling
I'm holding on to all I think is safe

Song Meaning:For me the meaning of the song is very clear, but I can probably understand based on the fact that I've gone through the same situation.
The song paints a story, in my mind I see a middle-aged man who is at a point in his life where everything seems pointless. He may have lost his wife, has no close friends, hates his job, and has nothing to believe in. Tired and depressed, he decides to look to god and the bible for help. He asks the lord for a change in his life and an opportunity for happiness. A week or so goes by and nothing seems to happen so he loses his faith and gives up on trusting god. Every where he goes hes sad, and every sees sadness in him. To the point where he decides to stop the depression and sadness. The Man walks over to the edge of a tall building and considers jumping. But right before he does, he decides to say one last prayer to god, just in case their is a something left for him in this world... This song is his prayer:
"Please come now I think I'm falling
I'm holding on to all I think is safe"
-Please show yourself to me God, My life is becoming meaningless and I'm trying to hold onto the few things that make my feel safe and that I belong.
"It seems I found the road to nowhere
    And I'm trying to escape"
-I'm stuck in this rut and im going nowhere, and I'm trying to find the right path
"I yelled back when I heard thunder
But I'm down to one last breath
And with it let me say, let me say"
    - I tried to live and move on when i dealt with my life struggles, but I cant take it anymore. This is my last cry of hope, and I want you what I have to say..
    "Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down"
-(This is a little difficult to interpret) I feel like hes asking god to hold him and stop him from jumping. If a normal person was close to falling off a cliff they would freak out and back up, but because the man is thinking of suicide, hes not afraid. hes thinking maybe this inst that crazy of an idea.
    "Sad eyes follow me"
    - Nobody seems to show any interest in him, the only people who look at him and think about him become sad, because they amuse he has a sad difficult life.
"But I still believe there's something left for me"
-Hes hoping that there's still an important reason for him to continue living.
"So please come stay with me
'Cause I still believe there's something left for you and me
For you and me for you and me"
-This is the climax of the song, Hes asking god into his heart to stay because he believes that god is his last hope and god can give him a purpose. "Between you and me" His purpose lies in the love of him and God.

Well, that's my interpretation, I love this song and it seems very clear to me. I've been in the same situation where you feel like you have nothing left to live for you just someone to tell you your wrong.
I hope you guys liked it and feel free to comment on it

My Interpretation:Well, i love this song stuff. Here's what i think it means.

A man who has been through a lot in the last year or so has given up, he walked to the edge of a cliff. He starts to wonder if it's the right thing to do, and wishes someone would come and give him a reason to live (hold me now.) He wants to shout one last thing to anybody who will listen before he gives it all up and jumps (i'm down to one last breath, and with it let me say.) He begins to look down the side of the cliff, and begins to reflect on his mistakes and regrets (i'm looking down, now that it's over, reflecting on all of my mistakes.) Like the time he thought he found the path God wanted him to be on. (i thought i found the road to somewhere, somewhere in his grace.) He begins to think about the fall, but the more he thinks about it, the distance seems to become less and less. (i'm six feet from the edge and i'm thinking, maybe six feet ain't so far down.) Finally someone had came along and saw him about to jump, telling him the reasons why he shouldn't jump, and he begins to believe there is something left for him. (Sad eyes follow me, But I still believe there's something
left for me, So please come stay with me, 'Cause I still believe there's something left for you and me, For you and me for you and me.) He is saved for then, but the process seems to then repeat again.

This song reminds me of myself as well, i was very suicidal one day, and almost killed myself. Thank God i didn't.

General Comment:To those who see conflict in spatial perception because of the line ¨six feet from the edge...six feet ain´t so far down¨....Let me just tell you, that you CAN be six feet from the edge (about to jump), thinking about the fact that six feet ain´t so far down (dying, comitting suicide ain´t a big deal)

My Interpretation:The song means exactly what the lyrics say. It's non specific, so you don't need to add your own spin on what the details might be. Emotionally bankrupt, fearful, reached the bottom. It really touches the heart of anyone who's been there. A person in the tragic throws of life, depressed, and is at the end, giving up. Waiting, hoping for something, or that someone to hold onto. A very sad song. If you've been there, or there right now, you feel it.

General Comment:I think the song means that the person isn't afraid of death. It is about his reflections on his life before
he dies. Not every Creed song has to be pushing a fairy tale ideology. I love this song, and I'm an atheist.

Song Meaning:The chorus to me sounds like he's asking for help because he's contemplating suicide and he needs somebody to hold him so he doesn't give in to it.

General Comment:I like this song by them. :)
Most Christian songs can be conceived as a love song type song about a person or God.
I think Creed, is like most Christian songs. Conceive it anyway you want.

General Comment:I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet... but I was just wondering about the meaning of the six feet in his lyrics

    Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
    That maybe six feet
    Ain't so far down

Does he mean six feet as in six feet under, like being dead/buried in a coffin?
