Poor old Johnny Ray
Sounded sad upon the radio
He moved a million hearts in mono
Our mothers used to sing along
Who'd blame them?

You're grown (so grown up)
So grown (so grown up)
Now I must say more than ever (come on, Eileen)
Toora loora toora loo rye aye
We can sing just like our fathers

Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means
At this moment, you mean everything
With you in that dress
Oh my thoughts, I confess, verge on dirty
Ah come on Eileen

Come on, Eileen

These people 'round here
With their beaten down eyes
Sunk in smoke dried faces
They're so resigned to what their fate is

But not us (no never), no not us (no never)
We are far too young and clever, remember
Toora loora toora loo rye aye
Eileen I'll hum this tune forever

Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means
Ah come on, let's take off everything
That pretty red dress, oh Eileen tell him yes
Ah come on let's, Ah come on Eileen
Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means
At this moment, you mean everything

Come on Eileen too-loo rye-aye
Come on Eileen too-loo rye-aye
Toora toora-too-loora
Woh, oh, Eileen

I said come on Eileen (Come on, Eileen, too-loora yeah)
I said come on Eileen (Eileen, too-loora yeah)
We are far too young and clever (toora toora-too-loora)
And things won't ever change
And I say...
Toora loora (Come on, Eileen too-loora)
Toora loo rye ayee (Come on, Eileen, too-loo rye-aye)
(Toora toora too-loora)

Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means
At this moment, you mean everything to me
Woh, oh, oh, to me
Woh, Eileen
You mean everything

General Comment:The fact that a girl is singing it, I think that gives it an even darker sounding tone, which only makes it better. >D

Very good cover, I would say. I was at first mislead into thinking No Doubt sung this, though, which they didn't.. :/

General Comment:I think that both the original and this cover version are good. The songs are from two different styles so they're not really comparable. This may seem obvious to some people, but if a woman is singing about 'Eileen' then that gives the song a same-sex overtone doesn't it? Not that there's anything wrong with that...

General Comment:"The meaning's obvious and if we have to discuss, someone's retarded."

    Seig heil!
    Burn the Jews!
    Kill all Gypsys.
    Communists must die.
    Death to the slavs!
    Homosexuality for death!
What? Making fun of mentally retarded people is okay but it isnt okay to make fun of any of the other groups Hitler hates isnt?
    LOL thats RETARDED

General Comment:This cover is way better than the original (one of the few that is).
The meaning's obvious and if we have to discuss, someone's retarded.
