I always get back from vacation and I hate having to start again, all I wanna do is have some fun, stay up late, hang out, and in that time, we sometimes forget to just think. And it just feels to me the song is about a guy and a girl just forgetting life and thinking beyond the limits.
Dunno, whatev, just my two cents.
But I love this song so much. I think its about how a girl saves a guy. He's "almost lost his will to live" and she comes into his life and makes everything better.
I always did like the Episode 4 idea of Star Wars 'a new hope'... lyrically for us it spoke of 'how i almost lost my will to live' as we entered each others lives at just the right time, during a very rough patch in both our lives & long down the line we've achieved so much in our relationship & have so much to live for!
the pool represents being each others company and discovering Love, the pool is a pool of Love and as we're there we stay warm with closeness...the trip to outter space is just exploring each others minds and just having pure focus on each other so much so we drift away (into space) & no day to day matters affecting our Love in these moments. Brushing away the sand (the past) from our feet (our future path) and walking a new life as one.
The dance off time is merely that feeling of who cares we can overcome anything through Love, even the simplest thing such as dancing to the songs we cant stand (literally in this example but you get it) ...and sing off key is really being focused on each other so much that nothing matters, just our Love...
Obviously overtime our Love has deepened and changed but its still really special to look over the lyrics of this great song and see how it so related to me in the early days!
