Lyrics for Another One Bites The Dust as interpreted by kevin

Another One Bites The Dust Lyrics
Steve walks warily down the street
With his brim pulled way down low
Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet
Machine guns ready to go

Are you ready hey are you ready for this?
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat yeah

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust

How do you think I'm going to get along
Without you when you're gone
You took me for everything that I had
And kicked me out on my own

Are you happy are you satisfied?
How long can you stand the heat
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat look out

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust

Hey
Oh take it - Bite the dust bite the dust
Hey Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust ow
Another one bites the dust he he
Another one bites the dust haaaa
Ooh shoot out

There are plenty of ways that you can hurt a man
And bring him to the ground
You can beat him
You can cheat him
You can treat him bad and leave him
When he's down
But I'm ready yes I'm ready for you
I'm standing on my own two feet
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
Repeating to the sound of the beat

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone and another one gone
Another one bites the dust yeah
Hey I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust
Shoot out

Johnny Blitzkreig is the only dude here in the last couple years to corroborate my claim this song is about marriage? once a guy says "i do" he "bites the dust" ...maybe then he goes and smokes marijuana to cope w/ the dissolving of his marriage

and yea, arcadian, you are the walrus

also, i noticed the similarity, but i didn't think this song intentionally sampled the bassline from "good times" ...i just figured it was a coincidence the song had a similar chord progression and rhythm...cus the melody and atmosphere are totally different, and the bassline is much more spare ...all i'm wondering is, does someone know where john deacon actually said he sampled it intentionally, or if he just wrote it himself and then it hit him that he didn't reeeaaly write it

I always loved Queen and every element of this song is perfect. I have an old audio tape by Pastor Gary Greenwald called Rock-A-Bye Baby. It came out around the time of the PMRC attempted to censor and put the warning labels on albums. He is formerly from the rock music industry turned evangelist. Another One Bites the Dust and several other rock songs are played backwards. There are some possible messages (subject to interpretation) on the tape but the Pastor always tells the listeners what they'll hear beforehand. I think rock lyrics played forward are controverseal enough. There would not be any need to ever put backwards masking on recordings other than to spite holy rollers. I love the music so much I’d hate to see evangelists get there way. Long but informative site: http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_cul5.htm

well it's an awesome somg and that is all that really matters...no offense or anything but can't you do something else besides play songs backwards on your computer? it doesn't seem that thrilling ot me...anyway my opinion is that this song is about how hurting people in anyway is wrong and it seems like everyone is out to get everyone...haha it kinda strange to think about how everyone hates someone and wants to hurt someone..no one can really say they don't..it human nature

it's a disco styled song. It is actually popular with the 'ghetto' folks in the cities. Before the single was released in the USA, disco and funk DJ's in the black neighborhoods, would play this song.

If you reverse Tarzan it says Nazrat! Try it it's disturing but true!

no seriously, round half of you say it does say druggie types of things. half of you say it doesnt. and the point is???

why are we fighting about this? why can't we just live in harmony with our opinions and in love!? why does there have to be so many wars?!

WHAT ARE WE HERE FOR??

god! will every1 stop wib that it sounds like hes saying 'its fun to smoke marajuiana' backwards. do u really think freddie is gona tink of every sentance in the world and see if it says that? like how would he know it would of said that when he write it?? its just a strange coincidence.
Anyway freddie didnt write it, it was written by john deacon and 2 my knowledge was not involved in any drug realted incidences.
so you can all be amzed with ur 'OMG!!''s but it was not done purposley

I'm gonna agree with whoever it was who said it was about a marriage and divorce. But also the song reminds me of the Spaghetti Westerns that Clint Eastwood was in. ...So I'm gonna say: Divorce in the Ol' West...or something.
