She grew up with
The children of the stars
In the Hollywood hills and the boulevard
Her parents threw big parties
Everyone was there
They hung out with folks like
Dennis hopper, Bob Seeger, sonny and Cher

Now, she feels safe
In this bar on Fairfax
And from the stage I can tell that
She can't let go and she can't relax
And just before
She hangs her head to cry
I sing to her a lullaby, I sing

Everything's gonna be all right
Rockabye, rockabye
Everything's gonna be all right
Rockabye, rockabye
Rockabye

She still lives with her mom
Outside the city
Down that street about a half a mile
And all her friends tell her
She's so pretty
But she'd be a whole lot prettier
If she smiled once in a while
`cause even her smile
Looks like a frown
She's seen her share of devils
In this angel town

But, everything's gonna be all right
Rockabye, rockabye
Everything's gonna be all right
Rockabye, rockabye
Rockabye

I told her I ain't so sure
About this place
It's hard to play a gig in this town
And keep a straight face
Seems like everyone here's got a plan
It's kind of like Nashville with a tan, but,

Everything's gonna be all right
Rockabye, rockabye
Everything's gonna be all right
Rockabye, rockabye

Everything's gonna be all right
Rockabye, rockabye
Everything's gonna be all right
Rockabye, rockabye,rockabye, bye, bye
Bye, bye

General Comment:The lyrics seems like everyone here's got a plan, it's like Nashville with a tan means that everyone in hollywood is trying to become famous and came there with a plan to be in movies or television. In Nashville which is like a miniature southern Hollywood where there are lots of record labels and music industry executives people are trying to hit it big in country music and become a star or music in general as Nashville has lots of musicians from all kinds of genres besides country. Basically both places people are trying to become a celebrity and California has a sunnier climate with beaches and people more commonly have tans.

General Comment:Los Angeles (Hollywood Hills, the Boulevard, Fairfax, "Angel Town" [City of Angels]) is "Nashville with a tan." A lot of people go to either Nashville or Los Angeles to become famous. The girl grew up in Hollywood, and she's become hardened by the things she's seen there. The "tan" part is just a stereotype, because everyone from California is supposed to be blonde and tan.

General Comment:This song reminds me of Nicole Richie, for some reason.
Growing up with the children of the stars.

    LOVE this song though!

General Comment:This song is so calming. It really is a lullaby. His soft voice in the verses goes really well with the sincere chorus. This song was put together well.. To have him only singing the chorus. It simulates what the song is about and I think that's genius.

General Comment:I'd still like to know who the song is about. There has to be someone out there on the internet who can point out clues based on the lyrics.
