I been searching for you
I heard a cry within my soul
I never had a yearning quite like this before
Now that you are walking right through my door

All of my life
Where have you been
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
And if that day comes
I know we could win
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

A sacred gift of heaven
For better worse, wherever
And I would never let somebody break you down
Until you cried, never

All of my life
Where have you been
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
And if that day comes
I know we could win
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

At every time I've always known
That you where there, upon your throne
A lonely queen without her king
I longed for you, my love forever

All of my life
Where have you been
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
And if that day comes
I know we could win
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

All of my life
Where have you been
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
And if that day comes
I know we could win
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

All of my life
Where have you been
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
And if that day comes
I know we could win
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

I wonder if I'll ever see you again
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

I wonder if I'll ever see you again
I wonder if I'll ever see you again
I wonder if I'll ever see you again

General Comment:To each their own on how to interpret this song, but to me this song is less about the the girl you are with now that is leaving your life soon and more about the "what if" girl you make an innocent, yet powerful connection with in a random unexpected place. If you have ever seen the video you can also get a sense of the complexity of the feelings the song invokes. For instance, you can see that Lenny has a girl he is with already, and I get the sense that he is far from home touring. He meets his "what if" girl completely at random eating lunch and having a beer at some common diner. Considering he has a woman already and is far from home all he can do is thing about her and "what if". After all in just a few days he will be on a plane, bus, or train and be back home or off to his is next destination. In all likelihood he will never see this woman ever again.

I travel fairly often for work and various other activities throughout the year. I make hundreds of interactions with people I will never see again in my life. Most of these are easily forgotten but I have had one or two conversations, long eye contacts, etc with a couple women in my life time that gave me that sinking feeling in my stomach. Some would describe this feeling as deep infatuation, connecting to someone's soul, or love at first sight. It is a powerful feeling that can completely overtake you. Considering both times I was far from home and otherwise involved with another woman, there was little I could do about it and I know in all reality I would never see this person again. This truth does little to ease one's mine. It is quite the internal battle you deal with when you start thinking about being with the woman that gave you these feelings vs reality. Reality is taking away a once in a life time opportunity for you, or so it seems.

This is feeling I think Lenny was trying to get across with this song. It is a great song to this day.

General Comment:This girl I'm falling for is leaving the country in a month. For good. It doesn't help that she's quite possibly be my soul-mate.

If there was one song that could perfectly describe my life right now, it would be this song.

Is it considered a mixed-CD if you only burn one song?

General Comment:Not a complex song, but the feelings it evokes are. What happens when you wait your whole life for someone who has all sorts of qualities that you were not sure could ever exist in the same person, then that person comes into your life, becomes a huge part of your life, and then is gone, leaving so much pain in her wake? You knew that there were flaws associated with the amazing attributes, but it is impossible to forget the attributes and resign yourself to never experiencing again everything good about the one for whom you yearn. That is especially the case when you know that together you not only could, but would, win anything worth winning.

General Comment:i like this song a lot, just because i've experienced liking a certain someone from afar but knowing him a bit and after the summer he's going to a different college so i think to myself 'will i ever see you again?'
