Lyrics for Guerilla Radio as interpreted by piesupreme

Guerilla Radio Lyrics
Transmission third world war third round
A decade of the weapon of sound above ground
No shelter if youre looking for shade
I lick shots at the brutal charade
As the polls close like a casket
On truth devoured
Silent play in the shadow of power
A spectacle monopolized
The cameras eyes on choice disguised
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?
Yes a spectacle monopolized
They hold the reins, stole your eyes
All the fistagons the bullets and bombs
Who stuff the banks
Who staff the party ranks
More for Gore or the son of a drug lord
None of the above fuck it cut the cord

Lights out guerilla Radio
Turn that shit up

Contact I highjacked the frequencies
Blockin the beltway
Move on DC
Way past the days of bombin MCs
Sound off Mumia guan be free
Who gottem yo check the federal file
All you pen devils know the trial was vile
Army of pigs try to silence my style
Off em all out that box its my radio dial

Lights out guerilla Radio
Turn that shit up

It has to start somewhere
It has to start sometime
What better place than here
What better time than nowAll hell cant stop us now
All hell cant stop us nowAll hell cant stop us now
All hell cant stop us now
All hell cant stop us now
All hell cant stop us now

its about a hijacking of sorts, of the radio airwaves as a medium for revolution, activism and protest. also contains some parts concerning mumia

It's a shame Rage turned out this way. They used to be so good. Battle of Los Angeles is repetitive, uninspired, and unemotional. The anti-US banter became tiresome long ago. Guerilla Radio spearheads the groups last real attempt to get their message across, but becomes their demise. Now they're nothing more than another nu-metal band clumped in the pile of shit that limp bizkit created.

it's actually a shame we don't have more bands out there like Rage Against the Machine to speak up against what society deems worthy of a "good nation" ...all the while The Individual is trapped in a conformist world with the mentality that one person is incapable of changing the world. All i have to say is, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito. Rage Against the Machine made a difference by saying "we may not be totally right, but we won't stand for what we think is wrong." Fight the Man, take the power back. Peace

what are you talking about? there are PLENTY of good bands out there that speak out against corruption in our society (American Head Charge, System of a Down, and virtually EVERY punk band in existence) RATM were fairly good musicians, but i can only take so much of that fucking distorted guitar crap.

First off, not many punk bands talk about political issues, you have a delusioned sense of the punk music scene. And what are you talking about with rage being failry good musicians? They are some of the most intelligent and creative musicians out there. And sick of that fucking distorted crap? Plz, Tom Morrelo is one of the most innovative guitarists out there.

do i now? funny because i am good friends with many MANY punk bands, and they all focus around one issue - FUCK AUTHORITY. so who the fuck are you to tell me. and if tom morello was so innovative, he would change the pace every once in a while. i could play every single rage cd consecutively and not be able to decipher which song was which. just because he likes to use pedals doesn't mean he can't play fucking chords every once in a while.

by the way, just being innovative and being talented in regard to skill are completely different things. tom is innovative in many ways, but there are much better guitar players out there. innovation stops being innovation if you stop innovating.......and now i'm confused

it's funny how when he said many bands speak out about political issues and he could only name a couple, and they're the ones mtv is practically spoon feeding to us..

really? i was sparing you a long list, and it's funny, but i don't recall hearing about american head charge on mtv. and i never said that the fuck authority motto was a good one, i was simply proving my point that there are tons of anti-establishment bands out there. i suppose that one went right over your head. are you going to fucking tell me that there are only a few politically charged bands out there? give me a fucking break. get over your infatuation with ratm already. they're not all THAT innovative. jesus h christ.

oh and by the way, fuck authority is essentially the message behind ratm, just in different words, and expressed in different ways.

WTF kill your idols? you criticize me for naming SOAD, which despite their recent exposure to MTV, is still a great band, yet you list them in your profile as one of your favorite bands. that's just plain hypocritical. and remember, in their dying days, RATM was pretty popular on MTV as well, even performing live on TRL.

i never said i didn't like system.. unlike most people though, i liked them before chop suey... i just think if you're going to say there's -plenty- bands.. keyword.. plenty.. you'd be able to name more than the ones always on tv, and or on every cover of every -rock- magazine you see.. oh..and just for futher reference.. i don't like ratm.. so i'm -not- infatuated with them so.. maybe you should get your story straight..

well what do you want me to do? name every band on the face of the earth who has a similar message? i was trying to name fairly well known bands, as most of the ones i am most familiar with are not well known, simply because i enjoy many local acts that people not from my area would not be familiar with. and plus, you said the only ones i named were being spoon fed to us by MTV. i only named two, and only one of those has gotten exposure from mtv. and how the fuck would i know if you like RATM or not without you telling me? and i liked SOAD before chop suey too, so there you go.

this is a fucking great song and Rage were a great band and i was sad to see them split. I dont know what Nothingface555 is on about rage being average musicians there all great musicians with the exception of Zack who raps too much.

i didn't say average, i said fairly good. the drummer seems to be fairly mediocre....there are much much MUCH better drummers out there. and same with the bass player. tom morello is the best musician out of all of them, but ther are better guitar players out there. but you're right about that....i don't know about rapping too much, but zack's singing gets way too repetitive.

Simple, yet sad how you confuse it all. Thinking your extensive vocabulary brings more power to your words when all you do is speak the same bullshit. There messege is real. Its about zapatistas and how they are treated. Only in that way do they say fuck the gov.. So fuck off you assholes, your blotting up the site.

Oh wow, Nothingface is an idiot. I disagree with how you feel about Rage, too much distorted guitar crap? Obviously you don't play guitar, or bass for that matter... or else you would not be saying they're "fairly good" musicians. However the reason you're an idiot is your distorted view of the punk rock scene. hahah... punk does not equal fuck authority. It's not 1978, and there's more out there than The Sex Pistols and The Ramones.

well yes i do play guitar, and that's why i get tired of hearing the same shit over and over and over again. if he was really so great, he would switch things up every once in awhile. don't fucking put me down for having a different opinion than you. i never called anyone a fucking idiot for liking trendy rap rock bullshit where every song sounds the fucking same. also, you have obviously never heard of over exaggerating. i was simply trying to make the point that there are more anti-authority bands out there than rage. but you're so fucking closed minded that you failed to see it.
