they're very much lyrics that you can analyze over and over and over again, come up with so many different interpretations, but never find one that quite matches that feeling you get when you just listen to the lyrics superficially. the immediate sense of panic, fear, but a strange high that you get when you listen to the words as you go along.

this song could easily be put into the background of a scene of a world disaster.

the lyrics, if i had to analyze them, would definitely be about a disaster/the everyday disasters in the world.

"Who's in a bunker? Women and children first ..." Terrified people running into the bunkers in a desperate attempt to keep themselves safe. "Laugh until my head comes off ... swallow until I burst ..." 'Ignorance is bliss' - people trying to pretend all of this isn't really happening. "I have seen too much, I haven't seen enough, You haven't seen it" People who can't stand watching the terrible things happening in the world, but still haven't yet witnessed the massive scale of it all - 'haven't seen enough' - and trying to warn others of the horrors. "Here I'm allowed everything all of the time" Either a sense of not wanting to be involved in it - again 'ignorance is bliss' - the sense that if everything went away, they wouldn't be able to cope as before, they were 'allowed everything all of the time' - or, a feeling of guilt. Everyone else suffering and them having everything. "Ice age coming" A long period of time where everything's going to be desolate and cold and frightful. "Let me hear both sides" Thinking 'why is this happening?' and taking opinions from everyone (or just from the two sides responsible) "Throw it on the fire" Panicking and maniacally trying to defend against threats - people and things posing a threat are fought against and added to the growing list of threats, a metaphorical fire. Also, fire could represent the terror and frantic running around crying and destroying things in a strange 'end of the world' scenario. "We're not scaremongering, this is really happening" Frantic pleas to get the people of the world to believe what the messengers of the danger say (newscasters, world leaders, etc). Also, the frightened feeling you get when people tell you "this isn't a joke, we're serious". "Mobiles skwerking, mobiles chirping" Telling your friends, trying to get in contact with loved ones. "Take the money and run" Turning to stealing to keep themselves alive - taking money, items, food, whatever, to keep their family alive (or just themself). "The first of the children" - as mentioned before.

Basically, the song if analyzed is just about the terrified public running around with mob mentality trying to survive in the event of apocalypse.
