Bridges burning gladly
Merging with the shadows,
Flickering between the lines.
Stolen moments floating softly on the air,
Borne on wings of fire and climbing higher.

Ancient bonds are breaking,
Moving on and changing sides.
Dreaming of a new day,
Cast aside the other way.
Magic visions stirring,
Kindled by and burning flames rise in her eyes.

The doorway stands ajar,
The walls that once were high.
Beyond the gilded cage,
Beyond the reach of ties.
The moment is at hand.
She breaks the golden band.

General Comment:To me its the point where on a heavy trip things begin going awry or strange

Bridges burning gladly -while tripping everyone is happy but friendships are at stake

Merging with the shadows, - people change into both the who you know them as and who they really are, they begin to have hidden meanings with what they say and do

Flickering between the lines. - these differences can be seen in glimpses through the shadows often heard.

Stolen moments floating softly on the air- the stolen moment is in the conversations when their at first ever so subtle undertones or hidden comments and can be felt with vibes even when these moments are unknowingly robbed.

Borne on wings of fire and climbing higher. - sparked in negativity it can only escalate as such.

Ancient bonds are breaking, - ancient as in the way it has always been is now crumbling and the new way is being paved.

Moving on and changing sides. - these scenes can loop for an entire night and often there are swings (when 3 people) where stances and alliances are made and lost and the only way past them is to move on or change sides lest you find yourself in a stalemate.

Dreaming of a new day, - imagining possibilities of the way things will be without the ancient code of law.

Cast aside the other way. - \where after alliances have been made the match gets under way and those who aren't in agreement are kept and any others are thrown to the cold.

Magic visions stirring, - that point in time where conversation loses nearly all the meaning of the words being used but rather a mixture of context, body language, inflections and subtleties are brewing up tension.

Kindled by and burning flames rise in her eyes. - this blows over if unfed and cant continue if it it isnt tit for tat but too often those who are throwing massive logs on the fire dont realize this is unfolding and all it takes for often is only a little bit of kindling.

The doorway stands ajar, - in the twilight of the trip when your mind is racing and thoughts are free.

The walls that once were high.- either the defenses of self and others that have been taken down or scaled .

I'm not sure about these last ones but

Beyond the gilded cage, - A refusal to make any sacrifice for happiness even after the other walls have been lowered and the door ways are open to be concluded.

Beyond the reach of ties. - Past the point of agreement or empathy
The moment is at hand. - The moment where one can settle for broke and simply do nothing.
She breaks the golden band. - There is now no chance of friendship without building new bridges.

My Interpretation:These is my interpretation in a "conspiration mode".

For me is courious that the next song "The Gold it's in The" is very similar to Beatles Style, dont you think? so I think in some way these is about The Beatles .

So Yoko Ono appears in the begining of the 70 , Pink Floyd song is 72

    From Wikipedia
"Lennon's romantic preoccupation with avant-garde artist Yoko Ono contributed to tension within the band and he lost interest in co-writing with McCartney.[169] Flouting the group's well-established understanding that they would not take partners into the studio, Lennon insisted on bringing Ono, whom Harrison disliked anyway, to all of the sessions."

General Comment:Great song from a great band, although it was a soundtrack, still it was a pretty good one.

General Comment:This song is amazing. Everything is so mellow it is perfect. It takes me to a different place. The whole thing is perfect. They do such a good job of evening their lyrics to the songs out like "stolen moments floating softly on the air. Its like stolen moments sucks but their floating softly on the air so it paints a more mellow picture. Less tension and stuff. I love it!

General Comment:I think inpraiseoffolly got it spot-on.
In my opinion, this is one of Pink Floyd's best songs, and the album is also one of their best.

General Comment:Correct Lyrics (at least I think):

    Bridges burning gladly
    Merging with the shadows,
    Flickering between the lines.
Stolen moments floating softly on the air,
Borne on wings of fire and climbing higher.

    Ancient bonds are breaking,
    Moving on and changing sides.
    Dreaming of a new day,
    Cast aside the other way.
    Magic visions stirring,
Kindled by and burning flames rise in her eyes.

    The doorway stands ajar,
The walls that once were high.
    Beyond the gilded cage,
    Beyond the reach of ties.
    The moment is at hand.
    She breaks the golden band.

General Comment:It seems that Demau Senae takes all of his lyrics from this site:
    utopia.knoware.nl/users/ptr/pfloyd/songs/…
That site also has "stolen mormons" and "ancient bulbs," the same mistakes that I have found in Fearless, and I'm sure that any other songs with mistakes are the same as those on this site.

General Comment:Obscured by Clouds is a vastly underrated album by Pink Floyd, coming as it did between their best album (Meddle) and their most famous (Dark Side of the Moon).

While OBC can't stand up to either album it is next to, it is still very good, probably fitting in at eigth in the PF catalogue, right behind either The Wall or The Final Cut (both of which I immensely enjoy, if that says anything).

This is an excellent song, one of the best on the album. Could it be about dropping the bomb on Hiroshima/Nagasaki.

I know that people near the explosion vaporized, and you could see where they were standing because they left shadows imprinted on bridges.

    Just a thought.
