    "work sucks,i know" is the best line.

    My Interpretation:I think this song, is subconsciously, about taking bad situations, and looking at them positively. Which is what Blink 182 represents if you think about it (a punk-rock band conforming to pop standards? bad situation, making money and funny songs that should be classified as "Novelty" genre music, positive situation) But I'll prove my point with "She left me roses by the stairs/surprises let me know she cares" I can't believe nobody thinks this line is weird, I mean you'd have to be a virgin to think this is normal. If you ever get flowers from your girl, it means she has an admirer, and if she doesn't tell you about the flowers, it's a secret admirer. So instead of getting jealous, and vulnerable, he just plays dumb and thinks what a wonderful surprise! Same with "Work sucks I know" followed a few lines later with "Turn the lights off carry me home" taking a bad situation (work) and making it positive (sex, or sleep, both positive) ya dig?

    General Comment:This song was written for Tom Delonge's wife Jennifer Jenkins, she complained that he always wrote songs about other girls, so he wrote this one for her. He was worried it would be really shit and she would be annoyed so he kept telling her that it was really terrible but turned out to be a hit! And for the lyrics "she left me roses by the stairs" is actually true, when Delonge was working late Jenkins left him roses on top of the stairs :-)
