It all about suicide and seeing better days after those crap feelings. I can relate as i'm sure heaps of peoples can. But this song rocks and Blink rule soooo much. I'll admit they're not punk anymore but i don't reckon they're crap they're music evolved and it didn't get worse. I still luv em and this song rocks.

This song is about one of their friends who committed suicide (or so I've read) anyways... its a sad song, in that its about suicide. But its more of a sad song for the better. Its like, rethinking about suicide, because the lyrics change. Sure... things may be really bad and everything, but you just have to move on with your life.

sic n twisted : no it wasnt about someone they knew---

it was about an email mark recieved about a boy's suicide. i also heard there wer feelings about their loneliness on the tour in it. (the tour is over we've survived????)

I need the meanings of the more complex phrases that hold memories like " .. remember the time I spilled the cup of apple juice down the hall .. " for a huge ass project in my English 11 class. It's my last project before Exams and I need all the help I can get. Blink aren't my usual band, I'm into more Trance, Techno, Rap (quiet fools, it's not that bad) and Harcore, just everything Hardcore... so I don't know alot about the former could-be Punk now Pop-Punk Blink group. I like the deep attitute the song has though, and I fall asleep to it every night!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

ROYALHIGH has a good point although, Sampo is correct on this one. It's about suicide but also how lonely he get's on tour. But I can understand what RoyalHigh is trying to get across. Starbabieee is right, and maxpower411, you suck, know why? CUZ YOU'RE DISSING THE WRONG BAND! Everyone is all like eww, Blink 182 sux because they have a label, and they play them on the radio. They DO NOT suck and it amazes me how ignorant people can be.

This is one of Blink's better new songs. Their old stuff is so much better though.... but its good to see that they can still write songs that mean something (ex: Stay Together 4 the kids) not just stupid hooks with good beats. don't get me wrong, i luv them - i think they're badass & am a loyal fan, but even i have to say old school blink is better.
To those of you sayin the poser stuff: Blink was at one time a punk band that led the way for other bands like Fenix TX, NFG, JEW... the list goes on & on. What's wrong with changing up their style a little bit, even if its not for the better? Every band should be allowed to experiment with sounds & styles until they've found somethin they like. Look at the Beatles, they changed up their sound so many different times, but that's what they're legendary for.

I love this song.. Its kinda creapy becasue this song just began playing on my comp. But it is really really deep and is really depressing to me... I really like it though. It almost makes me want to cry though but blink still wrote a really deep and meaningful song. I hate when people argue over such a great and meaningul song... so this is what i have to say... please read it... mmkay...

Okay.. well I've been to a bunch of different songs by blink and greenday and in almost every single damn post or comment this dumb ass topic comes up. I do not think that green day or blink are sell outs... I'd really like to have a definition to that phrase "sell out" I first discovered blink from enema of the state and the what's my age again video, right when they got really popular. I really liked them and bought their new cd take off your pants and jeacket which i think is pretty good too. After that I decieded to buy some older albums. I bought Cheshire Cat and Dude Ranch. My favorite blink album is Dude Ranch. Yes blink has changed since Cheshire cat, but do you expect a band that has been around for almost ten years to have the SAME EXACT sound as when they started? Their personal tastes change as they grow older and learn to write better songs. They get better equipment, have more time to write songs, and have better recording studios. Blink has written and changed their songs over the years because that is what they wanted to do. They make music becasue that is what they want to do and what is fun to them. They aren't go to make and write a certain type of music just for you. They didn't sell out. They became popular and where able to spread the music they like to the rest of the world which many bands aren't able to do. that shows they are very talented. Blink writes the kind of music they want to and Mark, Tom, and Travis still go all out at their concerts because it is waht they love to do.

And for all those people who say they suck.....

Now if you say they suck.. then thats your own personal opinion. If you don't like them then there is no reason to listen to them and then say how much you hate them. They are more talented then you will ever be. Can you write a 2 minute song with meaning and play a guitar and get the chords down and play the drums and stay on beat help write the song. Can you get along with two other people trying to make music too? Can you go on tour for months on end and devote time to practicing and making sure you get the songs you have written down? Well you probrably answered no to all of them so....
DON'T SAY ANYTHING BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO MAKE ANY COMMENTS ON THEIR ABILITITY........ASSHOLE.....

Ok, everyone, punk is dead. Ive seen nothing but poseurs in the last couple of years, its fucking music! You either like it or you dont. Blink 182 have talent, and they are poseurs, but who really cares, if you are going t criticize every band you hear, your going to like very few bands, so open up, calm down and buy an instrument, music has so much power over people.

hey, for those of you people that are dissin' blink, you all better stop and think for a minute. blink-182 is probably one of the best bands of our generation and they have some pretty kick-ass songs. adam's song is one of my favorites because the lyrics are so powerful. Everybody has their own opinion as to what this song really means. i think its all about surviving lonliness.

P.S. THEY ARE NOT POSERS! with what you people are saying, it seems like you guys don't even know what a poser is!
