Breathe, breathe in the air
Don't be afraid to care
Leave, but don't leave me
Look around, choose your own ground

Long you live and high you fly
Smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be

Run, rabbit, run
Dig that hole, forget the sun
When, at last, the work is done
Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Long you live and high you fly
But only if you ride the tide
Balanced on the biggest wave
You race towards an early grave

This song (and the whole album) is about the futility of life without significance or ultimate meaning - ie: life lived outside of salvation through Christ and Christ alone.

(thanks for rating me up on this one ha ha ha) ☺ ✝ ☠
