Lyrics for Thriller as interpreted by Mru007

Thriller Lyrics
It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking in the dark
Under the moonlight you see a sight that almost stops your heart
You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes
You're paralyzed

Because this is thriller, thriller night
And no one's going to save you from the beast about to strike
You know it's thriller, thriller night
You're fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight

You hear the door slam and realize there's nowhere left to run
You feel the cold hand and wonder if you'll ever see the sun
You close your eyes and hope that this is just imagination
But all the while you hear the creature creeping up behind
You're out of time

Because this is thriller, thriller night
There ain't no second chance against the thing with forty eyes
You know it's thriller, thriller night
You're fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight

Night creatures call and the dead start to walk in their masquerade
There's no escaping the jaws of the alien this time
(They're open wide)
This is the end of your life

They're out to get you, there's demons closing in on every side
They will possess you unless you change the number on your dial
Now is the time for you and I to cuddle close together
All through the night I'll save you from the terrors on the screen
I'll make you see

That it's a thriller, thriller night
Because I can thrill you more than any ghost would dare to try
Girl, this is thriller, thriller night
So let me hold you tight and share a killer, diller, chiller, thriller here tonight

Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'all's neighborhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller
Hahahahahahahaha

Michael Jackson is a freak and should be killed. Molesting boys is terrible and the only reason he isn't in jail is because he is a rich wanker. All his music is over produced and crappy so is this song.

Just the opposite. That goes for every point you mentioned.

Ah. I do believe that America is the only place that a poor black boy could become a rich white woman. Heh, cruel, maybe. I'm not a huge of Michael Jackson, but this is one of the best songs ever. I adore the music video, it's awesome.

Okay, look here. Maybe he did molest the kids, though I really think he didn't. I personally think that he himself is too childlike to have done it. I think that it was pretty much a bunch of kids (him included, when I say "kids") having a sleepover. Perfectly innocent.

That aside, who made you the judge of all songs? You go through saying that three of the best MJ songs are about molesting children (even when they're obviously not; "Beat It" obviously has something to do with gang violence), and then you say that a song about shoplifting is "probally [sic] the best song wirtten [sic] ever and...the deepest one." What the hell? Well, I'm of the opinion that the song was stupid and pointless, and the singers' voices were grating. What do you say to that? Ha.

I'm done acting like a child, now.

I love this song. It's not deep and meaningful or anything like that. I just love the song. It's catchy and I'd give anything to learn the dance. Haha.

"It's songs like this that make you wish Micheal Jackson was still cool like he was back in the days of this song, rather than the creepy looking while woman that molests children.

That, and Vincent Price was the man as well."

My sentiments exactly. Current stuff aside, Thtiller is an awesome song.

This song was the biggest hit of the 80s... This album sold over 100 million copies... And it has like 30 some posts? Bullshit. People are just too blind minded or scared to come post on such an amazing influencial song. Pathetic.

this is from the rare days when music was made to entertain and to thrill

rare now is a song made for something other than money or a political message

I think its really interesting that this song came out at the same time that Ronald Reagan got into office and started dismantling all of the gains that were won during the Sixties and Seventies, sending many who had started to enter middle class status plunging back down again, also there is the increase in gang violence, etc.

As Vincent Price raps, "Darkness falls across the land...Creatures crawl in search of blood...To terrorize y'awl's neighborhood...And though you fight to stay alive... Your body starts to shiver....For no mere mortal can resist...The evil of the thriller"

What really interests me is that in the music video, Jackson becomes a werewolf, and its only a matter of time before the white majority in his town follow suit themselves. If you go back in history, the werewolf has always been the figure of the man who has been banned from the city, and who can be killed at will, without it being considered homicide.

The werewolf imagery has been reappearing quite a bit in the years since Bush took office as well - to me this suggests that the song signifies much more than a mere wedding of the horror film genre and blockbuster pop music - buy hey, maybe its just me. (turns away and glances back with cat eyes) - mwah hahahahahahaha!

you people should not tie personal life into his music
GROW UP!
immature people are stupid...
you should respect people for what they do in life
its not like you could accomplish anything close to his excellence....
and not only MJ, there are a bunch of rock stars with messed up lives

I agree with all the people supporting Michael Jackson and his music. They haven't even proven him guilty, and even if he IS guilty of child molestation, quit thinking that that's all Michael Jackson ever thinks about. Gay people don't constantly think about doing guys. Okay, so he had problems with plastic surgery. But who in the celebrity world hasn't? And all the allegations about his skin color are false; he didn't bleach his skin white, it changed color naturally, just like how some people's hair color changes as they age.
Michael Jackson is an amazing musician and entertainer, and I admire him for that.

I believe he's innocent; as one poster said above, he seems too childlike himself to be guilty of such a thing. Plus, after TWO trials, he's innocent both times? C'mon, had he done anything wrong they'd have gotten SOMETHING on him by now!! I'm glad he's innocent, because he's my favorite performer and if he were guilty I'd have to throw out all his music. Someone mentioned that if he DID molest kids that's not all he thinks about, so not to let it affect if or not you listen to his music. The poster also mentioned that gay men don't constantly think about doing men. True that, but the difference is that there's nothing wrong with two consenting ADULTS doing what they want to do to themselves and each other. It's a whole different ballgame when you're talking about an adult(who should know better)and a minor, especially a young child. However, Michael's innocent, so I'll step off my soapbox*S*

The song's amazing, always was, always will be. I remember when the album first came out, even my hard rock/heavy metal friends had the album. Hell, even Alice Cooper said on a VH-1 special awhile back that the Thriller album made it cool for people who normally wouldn't be caught dead listening to MJ to take a listen and like. Now how awesome is that?

i think its funny that they consider Vincent Price's monologue a "rap".

Seriously. Its not a rap. He is not rapping. He is not dropping mad rhymes over a killer fresh beat. He is reciting, slowly, creepily, and monologue.

Not a rap.

I love this song and really love the music video =^) I think that Billie Jean is my fave, though. Anyways, this song is simply about horror movies; watcing them and/or being in them.

Michael Jackosn is like...the Elvis of pop music. He will ALWAYS be remembered for his music and sweet dance moves!! He's one of those people like Bach...or Motzart- everyone knows his name and how great his music is. Some people adore his music, but deny it due to this whole child molestation thing. I believe he's innocent =^) Some of the evidence is kinda...well...questionable, but the kid's family was REALLY greedy and they didn't really have any proof other than some minor stuff that was found at Neverland. I also think Michael is too gentle and loving and childish himself too EVER do something like that. The court said he was innocent and that's all I need to believe he is. After all, in this country, people are innocent until PROVEN guilty, and they couldn't prove it. Even IF he is guilty, I will always love his music, dance, style, and influence. It still technically wouldn't be all his fault if he did do it; he was abused himself as a child and never really had a childhood. That could really hurt someone mentally. =^( But ANYWAYS, I think he's innocent, and I'll love him forever and ever! =^)

P.S. He's still kinda hawt!!! Not as hot as he was in Billie Jean or Beat It, but still pretty hawt. B^)

Firstly I just wanna say that i've seen some pretty fucked up horror films and some of the worlds "scariest" horror movies and yet the only thing i've ever been scared of (and the fact I was like 9 makes it worse lol). Just the bit when he turns up to look at the camera and he's got them eyes. Damn they creep me out still lol. No matter if people say that this is one of Michael's weaker songs I still think that this is an amzing song with an amazing video and I did the dance at my mums wedding (what a geek lol). That was some laugh.
