what a sweet song. pretty self explantory...a guy's girlfriend is going away to college, and he's not sure what he's going to do without her around all the time. he kind of feels like he took her for granted all the time they were together, and he never realised just how much she meant to him.

those blink boys can write some really sweet songs when they want to. heh.

actually, i think its the other way around, and the guy is going away to college. for one, he talks about skippin his lecture, and going to a soccer game, and lecturses are more common in college. second, is he wonders if his picture is still hanging in her locker, as in shes still in school

i love this song. the music is really brilliant, and the lyrics r meaningful. most blink songs ave meanings behind them. and wot wiv mark bein so fitt......but that is not y i listen 2 their music. i like it, a lot. they r a gr8 band, and they always will be. this is one of my v. fave blink songs!!!

yeah.this is probably the best song on enema of the state..because blink went all pop..not that they arent bad..it's just..oh nvm. but this is a sad song..and supposively mark wrote it on valentine's day....that would make sense.

personally the music sounds the same to me, learn to play guitar and play their new stuff on a shitty set up and it sounds like their old stuff does. I do think they try to appeal to mainstream more but when didnt they? they havent changed so who cares. also they were better with scott he made the drumming so so clean and perfect like travis, he should have stayed with the aquabats

Exactly. Everyone thinks their oilder stuff sounded better because it was 'more punk.' No they just didn't have the refined equipment back then, the overall lyrical quality hasn't changed much. Well, maybe for Takeoff... =P

i will say they did make more like... icky kinda songs that r gross. but they r damn funny. and its not like they didnt use to i mean one of my favorite blink songs is ben wah balls and its about a guy that dates his daughter.... but yah lyrically they are pretty much the same but im pretty sure we wont hear any more songs of how broke they are =D

My boyfriends loves Blink 182. This is the first song he sang to me. In my notebook, he wrote "I haven't been this scared in a long time and I'm so unprepared so heres your Valentine.... but you're so beautiful to me." This song has a personal meaning.

This is a good one. Probably one of there better songs. I always sing it always. It's probably one of there more serious songs. It's about a guy going to college and hoping his girlfriends won't forget him. and they can stay together.

This is my favorite Blink 182 song. It was me and my boyfriends song, it fit us so perfectly. He was going off to college when I was a junior and it was just all so true.

this song reminds me of my ex boyfriend...im a year older than him and we used to stress about me going away to college. he put this song in a tape he made for me. i miss him so much. blink 182 is so awesome, i can relate to so many of their songs

This song means a lot to me. It can be about any relationship. I love the part "if young love is just a game then I must have missed the kick-off" because its just so right! This is a really special song and is one of my favorite Blink songs.

First off, the music and great lyrics combined make this song one of their best songs on Enema. I never liked blink182 as a band, but when I heard this song, I started liking blink and now I currently have all of their CD's. Blink is a great band and Going Away to College was the song that made me fall in love with their music. This is a good song

Going Away is one of my favorite songs...It's so good, and super-romantic, especially for blink, which is notorious for writing songs about fucking dogs and pirates, and random transvestites. Mark wrote this song on Valentine's Day after he watched 'Can't Hardly Wait', which definitely explains why this song is so emotional.
