Lyrics for Ava Adore as interpreted by Ice

Ava Adore Lyrics
It's you that I adore
You'll always be my whore
You'll be the mother to my child
And a child to my heart
We must never be apart
We must never be apart

Lovely girl, you're the beauty in my world
Without you there aren't reasons left to find

And I'll pull your crooked teeth
You'll be perfect just like me
You'll be a lover in my bed
And a gun to my head
We must never be apart
We must never be apart

In you I see dirty
In you I count stars
In you I feel so pretty
In you I taste God
In you I feel so hungry
In you I crash cars
We must never be apart

Drinking mercury
To the mystery of all that you should ever seek to find
Lovely girl, you're the murder in my world
Dressing coffins for the souls I've left behind
In time
We must never be apart

And you'll always be my whore
'Cause you're the one that I adore
And I'll pull your crooked teeth
You'll be perfect just like me
In you I feel so dirty, in you I crash cars
In you I feel so pretty. in you I taste God
We must never be apart

how do you know it's about courtney love....and for that matter, i can think of ten songs that people on this site say are about courtney love. WHO CARES!!!! plus, i don't think that every artist/band is so consumed by her that they have to write songs about it.

I believe Billy said that this song was just an example of him writing words together that just rhymed, with a very loose common theme. The video is one of the best ever made in my opinion.

At first, it seems like he's creating a "perfect" woman/whore/slave for himself. Sort of like a Pygmalion or My Fair Lady mixed with Frankenstein. But after a few other posters said that it's just a song Billy created for rhyming...I don't know anymore.

All songs are open for interpretation, but whether-or-not they make an ounce of damn sense is another damn thing! Heh heh.

I think that the person who said it's just a bunch of rhyming words was right...but, wow! that really speaks volumes about billy corgan's talent, if he can take a few random words that rhyme and turn them into a vague and mysterious song with powerful imagery. Also, the pumpkins have never have lyrics that you can literally interpret...this is such an amazing song, with an amazing video....

There are obviously many different interpretations of this song, but to me this song is about a destructive relationship. The writer is madly in love with this woman, but for some reason, she is not right for him. In the end he knows she will end up destroying him. However, because of his strong affection for her, he will not ever let her go. The girl most likely has a lot of baggage that needs to be dealt with and this baggage carries over into their relationship and taints it. Perhaps, in his eyes she is perfect. It's just the rest of the world that views her as imperfect, but he sees the world's opinion and he can't dismiss it. Also, perhaps it's about escaping lonliness. He's with this girl that is not good for him because he can't stand to be alone. She fills him, yet he is still hungry. Maybe in a way he is using this girl. I don't know. That's what I've always thought this song meant, but it definitely could mean a myriad of other things. It all depends on the person.

i'm in agreement with porcelainhope about it describing a destructive relationship.

i love the acoustic version where he sings, "... and i'll pull your crooked teeth / you'll be perfect just like billy ..." hahaha.

Personally, I think this song is about a guy that's completely screwed in the head. I think the whole song implies a really messed up relationship in which he is imposing her will on her, a sort of rape type thing. The only difference here being that he doesn't know how he's hurting her. I think the line "We must never be apart" is sort of showing a will to hold her back and force them to be together, and "I'll pull all your crooked teeth / you'll be perfect just like me" is showing how he's trying to make her into something she isn't because he thinks he loves her so much. This whole song just conjures up imagery of insanity and rape, to me.

Music is art, especially the Smashing Pumpkins, and all art differs in the eye (or the ear) of the beholder, of course.

Anyone who thinks this song doesn't really have a meaning and are just loose words that rhyme that are put together simply because Billy could is obviously very ignorant. I understand that songs can be interpreted differently, but this is about being used, and using. He adores her, but at the same time feels like she is his toy. He feels like she is using him, but it's okay because he adores her. If you've ever been in a relationship like this, you'll know it's fucked up, but you love to be abused, and to abuse. It's none the less an amazing song.

although most of adore is about billy's mother, i think song is about a girlfriend. he said in an interview that the lyrics aren't based on anyone, they're just rhyming words. but the song is still so good. SO good! anyways, that's what i think...

It may be just rhyming words, but subconciously it could be about a few relationships mixed into one.
