people r saying this song is about God and other people r saying this is about a girl....well personally i think it could be about either one.i think people could make it be about sum1 they love wether its about there girlfriend or boyfriend or God. Yet i still wonder wat this song really means to him.......

Ok, yes this song is about god but you don't have to interpret that way if you don't want to. For those who don't believe in god and feel that they need to bash those who do just have no life. Everybody is entitled to an opinion and their own beliefs so if you don't want this song to be religious to you then fine, whatever makes you happy. This band did a great job at giving you those options. I'm not a firm believer but I keep an open mind that possibly there is a god so it means whatever I want it to mean. Also, if you don't like Lifehouse then why are you looking it up? Why not go add comments to promote the music you actually listen to? I hate rap but I've got better things to do then leave hate comments.

Why would you fall in love with God? That's scary.

The line, "I'm falling even more in love with you," could make many think this song is about a chick.

Although, my friend thinks it's about sex.

and this song should be up to the listener to interpret. it doesn't matter if something believes its about faith or about a significant other. you guys are all being frustrating. ): it's what the song means to you, not to everyone. each person is different. and if someone has a different view, accept it, don't bash it!

we all agree this song is about a relationship, whether it's god or your significant other. it's still a relationship with someone who means so much to you and has changed you a lot.

I asked Jason Wade at a concert back in 2002 who he wrote this song for, and he told me that he did indeed write it for God. I love this song! It totally describes my relationship with God. Jason Wade is a very talented songwriter. I give him props for this song!!!!

I think it's funny how there are interviews where he STATES it is about god. Lifehouse started out as a christian band, but now that they got as big as they are, it's smarter for them to just be an rock band. Not all their songs are about god. They are written so that if you're not religious or don't have a certain faith you can still love the music because it can be taken as if it's about a relationship. I personally had no i dea it was about god until i heard it on a christian station, and it does make a lot more sense. Everything by lifehouse is also another amazing song. People who freak out because you do'nt like it, to freaking bad. get over yourself. don't comment this if you don't like the song.

I think this song is about a sort of forbidden love.
When i hear this it stirs up feelings about my ex. I can't have him back and this song just explains what i want to say to him.

I truly belive this song is about a relationship. Just because maybe im in that situation right nowww. k heres what i think.

"starving for truth" whoever said you can starve for truth in a relationship, is wrong. sure you can! you dont know whats gna happen etween the two of you, and you need to know the truth your dying to know, your STARVING to know.

this i think is like its a love triangle. theres this boy and a girl, who have been talking to eachother for a really long time. but they never went out then this other girl comes into the picture for the guy, and he goes out with her..but still really likes the other girl. so hes falling even more in love with the other girl who hes been talking to since forever, and, hes letting go of the other girl whos hes been holding on too. && there hanging by a moment. =] loveee.

This song is about loving God as well as loving a simple human being.
It's a mix of the two.
When you are of God, your emotions are different, your spirit is different. You're a whole newe person inside. No, you still have the same personality and favorite foods... but you're not as gruff and as sad as before. Sure, this song can be completely about God, or about a significant other.
You can hear this song at church and feel that it is entirely about God...
You can be in the car with the man or woman you love and hear this song, then relate it to the emotions running through you...
It's all in how you are feeling at the moment, it's all about the setting and people around you.

This song is definitly about him putting his faith into God and letting go of himself. When I hear this song, I can see someone struggling in life... they are confused, hurt, and feel so alone.

They know there ways are not bringing the happiness. Then they let down their guard and let God come into their lives.... the lyric that I believe best describes my song meaning is...

To me, this song is about love. It's about hanging on to life by the barest thread, but living more than you've ever really lived before.

I don't think the song is about God. Not ALL songs are about God, just as not ALL songs are about sex, yet there are some people who seem to find a way to work one of those two meaning into every single song ever made. But of course, really, music is all subjective - it means what it means to you.

There is no better way to describe the love we have for our maker then falling in love. And this song is absolutely about falling for our maker. The obvious proof is in the pudding: nothing else to lose and NOTHING ELSE TO FIND!!!! Could a woman describe to a Christian writer the only thing to find in this life. I sincerely doubt that. Also, the great thing about a well written song is that it means many things to many people. The band may be singing to G-d, but if it makes you happy, a romantic love song surely works. Love is love, ya know...

Haha well.... the moments that make up our lives are often filled with precious transcendence, but only when we let go long enough to be suspended in the moment.

If you’ve heard the expression, “falling into the arms of God” then you appreciate the image of “falling more in love with you” that the band is singing about. You can take the song as yet another expression of heartfelt affection between two people, but I think it’s evident that the song is about the mysterious divine relationship so many of us hunger after.

The song brings up some pretty important things to get to this “hanging moment”. It helps when we are “desperate for changing” and “starving for truth”. We must be willing to chase after something we don’t understand, only knowing that when we admit we can’t do it all (playing God) then we’ll go running to the One who invites us “to take all of me”.

But then again, EVERYONE is entitled to their own opinion so whatev, thats my interpretation and i mean overall, it is a good song. xD
