this song is about God. he says - im living for the only thing i know, which would be a pretty strong statement to make about a girl. "i'll take your invitation, you take all of me" im guessing thats stating his submission to God and letting God have full control over his life. the beginning part seems to describe the yearning he had for God, knowing that there was something better out there for him, rather than the life he was living.

what is it with bands trying to lower their voice in songs, damn pearl jam wanna be's.....lifehouse is the worst band ever to play music in this world. Death to the people who signed these miscreants on to poison the minds of the earth with the pathetic drivel that comes from their untalented voices. I guess they had to suck alot of cock to get where they are which supposedly wasn't quite enough since they are so close to jumping back into the hole they came out from.

I love Jasons voice in Lifehouse. I dont what your talkign abuut buddy. Lifehouse is so good, their lyrics are deep, and powerful, unlike all those other ones out their that are just about relationships and their girlfriends. i am so sick of those songs. But Lifehouse's are about God, i am so glad that lifehouse is bringing meaningful songs about God into the secular music world. I hope they never stop. If you dont like lifehous then why in the heck are you in here?? take your bad comments elsewhere please.

I've always seen it as a relationship with God. However, most artists write songs to be taken many different ways... Hell, if you wanted to you could view this song like he is talking about his mom!

Regardless of what this song is about, it is really really bad. I read myownprison333's profile and it makes me sick that this kid can like both punk music and this shit along with creed. Please, one or the other buddy. You are making me feel hollow inside when I see that you like this and mxpx. Just stick to the punk stuff. We are a better brand of people. And you angelic...This song sounds like any other song. Stop liking this shit. Listening to it won't do you any good. It's going to lead you into listening to more sell out bands.

Myownprison333, granted this song can be viewed in many different aspects. However, songs written by no talent musicians much like Lifehouse, aren't as complex and dimensional as many believe. There is no need to look deep into a song that lacks depth. The song is just another song composed to get girls out fo their panties and into the laps of the band members, much like all music now-a-days. Thanks TRL.

to jaxgrrl i don't mind that people believe in god but when they try and press that belief on someone that doesn't share the same views as they do and they say your going to hell , that is when they are ignorant and really show their insecurity and try to seek reassurance for their belief by getting others to share the same view.

This was OUR song, but now hes my ex. It still means the same to me though.I loved him soo much and still do. The lyrics describe the feeling so perfectly. There is no other emotion that could compare to being in love. Just being with that one person makes life feel like your haning by a moment .A moment that you never want to end.

I think that there isn't really any point in trying to pick this song into pieces and criticize it for every little mistakes, all songs have mistakes, however little they may be. I for one, like this song although I believe it's not Lifehouse's best song. If anyone has a chance to check out Lifehouse's cd, listen to "Unknown" and "Breathing", those in my opinion, are the best songs on the album

this song is about God...if it weren't Lifehouse wouldn't have been featured in CCM magazine and had their video on the christian station. they're a praise and worship band and i also love how they're breaking into the secular world. its awesome.

Apparently all Lifehouse songs are about god. I know they're a christian band but when I go to see what ppl posted about them everyone argues about whether they're about god or not. Lifehouse have non religious songs, too, lol.
