  General Comment:As a musician, I can relate this song to a lack of inspiration.
  
  Hes searching for his muse
  
  "Run and tell all of the angels
  This could take all night
  Think I need a devil to help me
  Get things right" - I can't write a thing, I Need inspiration
  
  Maybe the "Hook me up a new Revolution" part is talking about how he feels this genre, or "revolution" has died, or is just no good for him. "We sat around laughin and watch the last one die" We took this as a joke, and had fun as we watched other bands disappear.
  
  The Chorus is very obvious. He desperately looks for inspiration, looking to the sky, looking for stuff in his head (sign of life) looking for something help him blast his ideas off his head.
  "Looking for a complication, looking cause im tired of trying" he's so sick of not writing anything good, he seeks for something to distract him from doing that.
  "Make my way back home when I learn to fly" I'm going to bed/home when i finish this shit.
  
  "Think I'm done nursing the patience
  I can wait one night
  I'd give it all away
  If you give me one last try" He's tired, he won't write anything till tomorrow, but then...
  "We live happily ever trapped
  If you just save my life
  Run and tell the angels
  That everything is all right" He finds his muse, a girl, and everythings fine.
  
  Finally, the "Fly along with me, I cant quite make it alone, I try to make this life my own" part, is about how he can't finish his song, without her, and needs her in his life.

  Song Meaning:i think this song is about a man who's tired of being the nice guy. He tries to find his way back, to be the real.. original him. He thinks he need "a devil" to get things back.. he's looking for a complication. He's desperately trying to get his life back, and not living in someone else's dream. But he's too weak to make it alone. He need a friend to get the life he always wanted to be. That's my interpretation lol :P

  General Comment:I hold this song very close to me but I have no idea what it's about. I figure it's just a reflection on day-to-day-life and living life with a sense of humor. I remember being on the school bus and listening to this song and just being in a good mood all day :D

  General Comment:I hadn't heard this song since around 2001. My grandfather was in the hospital in December, and the morning before he passed away as I was driving to the hospital, I heard this on the radio. The two days following, I heard the song two more times. I can't describe the measure of meaning it gave to me to hear it and the ways in which I applied it to him and our lives. This song helped to heal me through that time - when I hear it now, I see it as a sign from my grandpa. I have always liked this song, but it has so much more meaning now.

  General Comment:I hadn't heard this song since I was a freshman in high school - 2000/2001-ish. On January 1st, my grandpa passed away and I have heard this song on the radio, at random times, every day since. From not hearing it for almost a decade to hearing it several days in a row has given me hope. I keep asking for my grandfather to show me a sign that there is more to life, that he is okay and knows we all care for him. This song has been the answer, to me.

  General Comment:it is and has been an inspirational song for me, especially when my dad died.....i don't know why people always try to use the videos of today's music to clarify their ideas about a song-instead of taking it for what they feel it means to them anyhow....just saying.

    Ehh its definitely ONE of the best, but in my opinion My Hero tops this. This is one of those songs thats great no matter what mood your in.
