"slow how you wanted it to be" is my favourite line dont know why. i love it! x

this has got to be my favorite song ever...from my favorite band.

Ok so, here's what i've been thinking. He's in love with someone obviously and this person is actually noticing him. And when he sleeps at night, he has dreams about the person and him together, and he doesn't want to wake up. I've experienced something like this so many times. And he has to keep dreaming, yada, yada, yada. Anyway, if you've seen the video, you might know where i'm coming from, but I thought of this before I ever saw the video. It just makes me kinda sad everytime I hear it. And no matter how old this song gets, or is, it'll always be my favorite.

what i like, is how this song is so sweet and has so much meaning, but when you watch the video it's just funny and almost maybe avoids the depth of it =]

what an amazing song. i love the adrenaline songs like generator come back my hero etc. send through me. makes me feel like running. if you cant get laid by playin acoustic everlong late at night then you just cant get laid. its a beautiful song.

'if everything could ever feel this real forever' thats what i think when i play drums to this song. This song gets me pumped, it makes my heart beat faster and makes me feel like i will always have at least one true love. Music!

This song is about having a fresh relationship. EVERYTHING is new. EVERYTHING!!! You know the cute things they do, you know the adorable things that make that person them. BUT, it gets old and boring, thats when Dave Grohl says "you gotta stop when I say when" in other words "Stop being you and start being the person I used to know".

This IS my favourite song ever, and I'm hugely confident it will stay like that. It is the only song I know which makes me feel so uplifted but so sad at the same time. Everytime I hear it i have a huge smile on my face, but it makes me wanna weep. If i ever get bored of this song, I might as well quit music altogether!!!

Paranoid by Black Sabbath? Were those posts serious? Don't talk to me about how groundbreaking or influential it was, but is it 'special' or 'really fucking awesome'? Obviously an agreement to that question would be an opinion of yours, just as mine is that Paranoid could never hold a candle in such a matter.

If I had a favourite song and it reached that status by being influential or ahead of its time or any such triviality alone, rather than because of its ability to touch my heart or take me back to times and places or remind me of people I've lost, it would be a sad state of affairs.

Everlong is a beautiful, striking, painful piece of music. It's essential.
