hey...this is on my op ten also. It has special meaning to me and everytime that I hear it, I kind of stop what I am doing and sing alng and tear up. It remids me of this guy that I was going out with about a year ago and I remember when he asked me out, this song was playing in thebackround (we were in his car) and the part where is says "and I wonder could anything ever feel this real forever" that describes that moment. I ws in euphoria and everything was great. awesome song.

ok, well i dont write half as well as some of you, so ill just touch upon key pts. yes i agree this is one of the best rock and love songs ive ever heard. i think i agree its one of the top 10 songs ever written too. and yes, h. stern was right, i get those chills from the acoustic version too. and yes, my fav part is "breathe out, so i can beathe you in...hold you in." just rding that makes me fall in love with the song again. most of my friends listn to crap music. hardly any of them know of everlong...this saddens me. i never had anyone 1 share ths with. but i luv this site b/c it is so refreshing to know that you all feel the same way as i do. i love you guys! foos rule!

Ahhh....the new age love song. God I love Dave Grohl. Who ever knew that a a mushy song at heart could also rock your ass off. I don't know if I'd say that Dave Grohl is a genius. Everyone has the best songs of their career. Who knows what we'll hear next from him. We can just be sure we haven't heard that last of him. I love it though how he just doesn't want to hear what Howard Stern says after he sang it acoustic for the first time ever. Howard was telling him that the song is just as good without the electronics...but Dave simply states, "I just gotta rock." Rock on Mr. Grohl!!! Wesley Willis was right about you. You are on our side with the Midas touch. Thank you for giving me the words that I coudn't never find to say to my fiance. And thank you even more for not making it such a pussy song. Man everyone is entitled to their on opinion, if someone thinks that this is one of top ten songs of all time, then let it be!!! Everyone has their own scale, if you don't think it is then let it be.
But don't criticize whatever the case maybe.


Personally, I luv the song and it's one of the better songs I have ever heard.

I haven't read any of the other comments either. I just wanted to share my opinion real quick. Regardless what type of music you like, whether or not you even LIKE the foo fighters, its jus the simple fact that Dave Grouhl Succeeded in accomplishing something MANY musicians should take into consideration. He made a song that can reach into people and embed itself into them. Its that simple. Everlong is a perfect example of a song focusing on something that everyone has to have, at one time, experienced once in their lifetimes. Its a song people can relate too. So I'll just leave it at that.

BTW Everlong just happens to be my fav song.

This song, & then more so the accoustic version, used to be me & my ex's song. It was never really declared, but it fit. I can't count how many times this song made me cry.
