Lyrics for My Hero as interpreted by me109cito

My Hero Lyrics
Too alarming now to talk about
Take your pictures down and shake it out
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around
There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary
Don't the best of them bleed it out
While the rest of them peter out
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around
There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary
Kudos my hero leaving all the best
You know my hero, the one that's on
There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary

this is a great song... even greater with the meaning behind it. Dave wrote it in honour of Kurt Cobain

Yeah, Dave said he wrote this song honoring Kurt because even though enjoyed being "just the drummer" of a mainstream grunge band he couldn't thank Kurt enough for giving him the inspiration for all his music when he first started the Foo Fighters.

Actually I heard that Dave said "['My Hero' is] my way of saying that when I was young, I didn't have big rock heroes, I didn't want to grow up and be some big sporting hero. My heroes were ordinary people and the people that I have a lot of respect for are just solid everyday people - people you can rely on."

There was made a special version of it for the 9 firefighters that lost their lives in the Worcester Cold Storage fire back in... '99 I think. I know one of the families of the victims, the one whose voice is used in the special version... They are true heroes...

I just saw Foo Fighters live, and they did this song, it totally rocked! Its a great song! I kind of agree that it might be about Kurt, as Dave always said Kurt was an inspiration!

A) This is not about Kurt Cobain.
B) This is quite possibly their best song.

whatever its about, its a rocking song. i've got an acoustic version, so god... dave is an awesome song writer. i like nirvana too, but i was 8 when kurt died, so i don't know alot of their music, so in my eyes foo fighters are better. don't hurt me for having an opinion... please
