One of my favorite videos ever. Its like doing a hidden picture game in Highlights magazine when I was a kid.... spotting all the things we are told not to do....
1) operate heavy machinery after drinking cough syrup
2) running with scissors (my favorite)
3) crossing police lines (nice Oakland shout out re: who is more dangerous.. police or me?)
4) too many plugs in appliances
5) swimming after eating
6) running at a swimming pool
7) using a blender with the top off
8) drinking expired milk
9) accepting candy from strangers
10) watching tv too close to the set
11) making sexualized comments to co-workers
12) wearing dark clothes at night
13) standing next to the microwave
14) staring at the sun..... and more.... those are the ones that just come to mind.

This song is reminding us that most rules and guidelines we are fed like children, really have very little chance of causing damage (especially if you dont over do it or do it recklessly).... so what the f-. Take some chances, its your life, live it. Its anti-authoritarian and very punk!

Also, this song is amazing. I've always kinda noticed that EVERYTHING has a warning label these days! You can't do anything without there being a risk to it, and this kinda says, "Just go for it. Life's a risk worth taking."

The warning label stuff has gotten this insane: I was watching a commercial for a car, the one where they have it drive on the ledges of buildings. Then this appeared at the bottom of the screen:
"Yes this is a fantasy. Cars can't actually drive on buildings."

Who would try to drive a car on a building?!?!?!

Anywho, yeah i think. it's like Speak up, or you're not gonna be doing what You wanna do. You're gonna be doing what everyone Else wants you to do.

Gotta speak out and be heard, or you'll end up being pushed over when your idea was probably best all along.

^I THINK it means if you don't speak out about things you're against (in broad terms; it could be sticking up for what you believe in, etc. but that's kind of cliche so I used the opposite as an example), you're just being controlled by authority more or less.
I don't know if that's right or not, that's just always how I interpreted it.

hahahah I love the video for this song. it fits perfectly.

Fantastic song and great band.

Yeh, I agree that Mike and Tre dont get enough credit, also, Ha Ha You're Dead was written by Mike, and its a good song....Listen to it!

pretty much the whole song (words) are different "warnings" you see or here in every day life. I really like the line "Caution: police line: you better not cross
Is it the cop or am I the one that’s really dangerous?" and when you here the tornado sirens in the backround.

If you haven't seen the music video for this you're missing out.

A test announcement, we need to make test announcements... must practice evacuations in case of emercencies... take this if you are sick, unless you are going to use machinery because someone told you to... and don't talk to strangers.... believe what people tell you from what it says on their bumpers, even if they might be strangers... live in a safe place, because safety means a perfect place to live... don't EVER cross that yellow piece of tape or else cops will get angry at you... wash your hands, you don't want to get sick! Son't eat spoilled food either, that might get you sick too, even if you wash your hands! And make sure that you payed the utillity bills.

And never, ever question athority!

this was one of the first songs that i heard by greenday that i can remember my cousin listened to greenday when he babysat me and my friends will play a song and i'll remember the music and then my cousin but yea warning is one of my favorite songs because it was one of the first i heard that turned me toward greenday

Yeah, it seems alot of bands are just known because of their frontmen. I truly despise that. Take Coldplay for example. Ask about 50% of fans to name the other members besides Chris Martin, and they'll draw a blank.

Anyways, I'm not much of a new Green Day fan, but Warning was definitely one of my favorite albums at one time. This song itself strikes so many past memories.

my on style05 is right. Their a band together! Not just billie joe! I bet when they made their band they didn't say "Well, let's just let billie joe take all the credit since he stands in the front". Sure, billie loe works hard and is a great guitarist, but that doesn't mean he needs 5 billion screaming teenage girls to tell him he's better than tre and mike, because I'm sure he doesn't think that! I would understand if you said that billie joe was "so dreamy" because your a bunch of giddy little school girls, but to say that he's the only one that matters is just wrong they all contribute to the band and to making some of the best music in the world. And you have a problem with my attitude, you can post a comment about how you disagree.
