this reminds me of my deppression and panic attacks as this is what the song is about when billie had panic disorder and didnt understand it but i dont think he had deppression.

i kinda see green day as punk, ok...i dont just like punk, or emo or hardcore- i like evry band that comes under rock- theres not one definison for rock, from good charlotte to slipknot-they all come under rock
well thats wat i rekon bcoz rock has evolved a lot since elvis theres a bit of everything in it

yeah, I agree totally with that. why argue about green day when we can just worship them- I mean, listen to their songs?
I love this song, one of GD\'s best from Dookie.

yes its hard to drum but i guess its also rather hard 2 b the main man in a band, aswell. he has 2 sing and play guitar. plus anyways tre cool is toadly hot so yer they rock the same ;)

I love this song, i think it kinda explains itself..... I can definatly relate to it. That's one of the greatest things about GD, its easy to understand their lyrics and it's easy to relate.

WOW some people just don't get it.(I am responding to earlier comments)

Punk is NOT I repeat NOT a sound nor is Pop or Emo or Alternative or anything other stupid word that is used to describe the sound of the music. They are meanings

Punk means underground, additude,agression. Pop is an abbriviation for "Popular" get it. Emo is also an abbriviation for "Emotional" I don't see how that relates to one specific kind of music or why people say that since all music (that matters) is somehow emotional. and Alternative is very simple something that is not mainstream alas an "Alternative" to the radio. I hope I have cleared this up for all you little JERKS!!!

I cant believe some of you idiots think that green day is punk. I personally dont like punk but i think green day is awesome so that means they cant be punk. And at music websites i have been on they all categorize green day as alternative rock. Go listen to Simple plan or the Sex Pistols if you want punk.

Er, no, DON'T listen to Simple Plan. Listen to The Ramones, The Clash or Sex Pistols if you want REAL punk.
Also, Green Day are tremendously boring. The Ramones managed to be original and fresh for twenty-odd years, while using only four chords. Beat that.
So, yeah, you want punk, go listen to The Ramones and Sex Pistols to hear how it's done.

Green Day have produced original music since 1989, that's 16 years so they're very close to beating the ramones actually (I do like the Ramones, but I also think GD have talent and skill).

And as for the punk/alternative/emo argument, I believe punk and punk rock are different sounds. Punk is the Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Ramones etc. whereas punk rock is Green Day, Blink 182 and stuff. Emo is stuff like My Chemical Romance, Dashboard Confessional and Taking Back Sunday.
