this is my favorite song ever. Green Day rules. and the line "When masturbation lost it's fun you're fuckign breaking" is actually "When masturbation lost it's fun you're fucking lonely". but anyway this song is my anthem this summer. im extremely bored. and i seriously have just sat around and masturbated. its fun.

oh and AND512. Mark of Blink is older than 2 members of Green Day. they're not really that much older than Blink. and Sum 41 sucks.

First of all i dont think Blink or Sum 41 can compare to Green Day combined. Secondly the lyrics are taking directly from the cd booklet and it is in fact "breaking"

I live in Longview not very far from where Green Day came along. Being bored sums up Longview to a T!! This is one of my fav songs of all time and Green Day is so far from "over the hill" it's not even funny. So for those of you who don't like them don't look them up. Thanx!!

well ok you think it is "breaking". and I know in the book it says that, but. have you ever actually listened to the song?(i hope so i mean you're looking at th elyrics) listen to that part a couple times and sing along say "breaking" then say "lonely". ok? now which sound better? yes "lonely". and not to sound i dunno whatever but i think im right. the CD liner notes are wrong i guess. it could be a typo. people do make mistakes. or maybe im wrong and im just hearing it waay wrong. so we dont know for sure unless we ask Billie Joe. anyway uhhh Longview rules all GD songs. the bass is awsome. very cool song. lata.

and512......lol what a character, saying the greednay need to move aside for younger and "better" bands.....first off blink isnt so young anymore.....second.....SUM41 sux major ass and ive seen them live...the singer sounds like hes been kicked in the nuts 12 times......and third so what if Greenday isnt so young, they go fuckin back in the day, and paved the way for alot of other bands.....even if their crappy ones like sum41.....to sum it up, Greenday fuckin rocks.

I used to think Green Day was just another Punk Revival band like Sum 41 and some of the Blink 182 stuff. But when I heard them more on the radio (MMR Rocks!) I got to liking them more. So I downloaded Longview, Basket Case, and Time OF Your Life and I really like them. Especially this one cuz I can relate to it. That's all I'm doing this summer since my awesome camp is over and my mom is at work all day I just sit around don't take a shower and masturbate. It gets boring, but I'll live through it.

maybe it is about masturbating but i think the line "Bite my lip and close my eyes, take me away to paradise" is about him wanting to just close his eyes and pray that he could get outta there, i dunno but i dont like the idea that its about masturbating.

the song is about feeling like theres no way out. "i sure as hell can't do it by myself", shows a want to get this over with. then "my mother says to get a job, but she dont like the one shes got" is about hating the scheduled life society has been brought to, living a life we hate, just because its what we think is normal.

i think this song is pretty self explanatory..but i must say, it reminds me of my best friend, Joe because all day he just sits there, masterbates(4 times a day atleast), eats, and fucks with his computer...not that it's a bad thing, it just reminds me of him SO much! (luv ya joe, had to do this lol)

This is one of the songs that turned me on to Green Day. Gotta love guys that are opening willing to sing about sitting around staring at the walls and doing nothing but masterbating. Ah, memories of prouding displaying my Dookie shirt at least 3 times a week.

And to comment on AND512. If Green Day wasn't around, there'd probly be no bands like Blink 182 and Sum 41 around.

this song is about a bunch of goats billy met in an alley. he invited them home to sit on the couch to watch tv, but nothing was on the tube. billy left the door unlocked and more goats came in and they had a party. and thats about it.
