    General Comment:the first time i heard this song was in a store in indiana. i stopped 4 just a second 2 listen, then i ran 2 the bathroom and pretty much sobbed. i never really knew why it got 2 me, it just did. "Dont u sit up on the shoreline and say your satisfied" this set of lyrics finally got me 2 realize y i cried that day. dont ever just sit, do nothing, never take chances, because ull never really be happy.     General Comment:This song is one of my favorites. I've known the lyrics since i was a todler and still love them! of corse now that im older i under stand the meaning better! this is just a great song and is great to listen to when you just need a little courage guidence or a little modivation. This song is really about anything you want it to be about. Its the kind of song everyone can relate to.

    General Comment:I used the first stanza as the opening quote to my graduate school application--I think that is what got me in ;) I went to college Pre Med and that was my dream, 4 years later it had changed...and I had to follow where it went... now I teach and don't know if I could ever be happier with a job!

    General Comment:This was my favorite song for the majority of my childhood. Even though I listen to rock and punk more now, I guess I'll always be a country girl at heart. The message in this song is that you should follow your dreams, even though there's a chance of being hurt. So don't stand on the shoreline... take a chance in the river and see where you get, basically.
