Lyrics for California Sun as interpreted by Maxine

California Sun Lyrics
Well I'm going out west where I belong
Where the days are short and the nights are long
And I walk
And they walk
I twist
And they twist
I shimmy
And they shimmy
I fly
And they fly
We're out there having fun
In the warm California sun
Well the girls are frisky in old 'Frisco
A pretty little chick wherever you go
And I walk
And they walk
I twist
And they twist
I shimmy
And they shimmy
I fly
And they fly
We're out there having fun
In the warm California sun
We're out there having fun
In the warm California sun

my guitarist is so lazy........he didnt want to learn the guitar solo for this song because it was 'hard' so i had to take guitar tabs and make them for bass guitar.....i actually like it better

actually the band the Ramones cover on this song is The Rivieras, not the Beach Boys. In fact I think it came out even further back than that but The Rivieras version is the best known. Of course this Ramones version is the best to listen to.

It's missing a few lines. Whoever does the lyrics needs to hear the music well before writting stuff down.

"California Sun" was a cover version of a song by the Rivieras (1964), later recorded by the Dictators on "Dictators Go Girl Crazy!" (1975). The missing second verse goes: "Well, I'm goin' out west, down on the coast/Where the California girls are really the most."

Tiejaz and Alyssa1224.
Dennis Wilson was friends with Charles Manson for a short while and then had trouble kicking him out of his house (and his life) when eventually he realised how dangerous the man was.
The other Beach Boys had nothing to do with Manson.
