Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you

So baby talk to me
Like lovers do
Walk with me
Like lovers do
Talk to me
Like lovers do

Here comes the rain again
Raining in my head like a tragedy
Tearing me apart like a new emotion
Oh
I want to breathe in the open wind
I want to kiss like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you

So baby talk to me
Like lovers do

Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
(Here is comes again, here it comes again)
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you

General Comment:I think this song is about a relationship that is failing. They were happy together at first and she wants them to get over the bad time and for everything to go back to how it was when they were happy and in love. His feelings changed and he no longer loves her but she loves him and she wants the old memories of their happy relationship to become a reality again

General Comment:This song is very artistic and sad.
It's beautiful how each beat and sound in the background is like raindrops. Each tap on the keyboard or pluck of a violin has a rhythm matching rainfall and never gets repetitive.
This song is really deep and can connect with life really easily.
I love the phrase, "here comes the rain again" because it gives you that sense of repetition that she feels, yet you know no matter how many times the rain comes, the pain never eases away.
    Just beautiful.

General Comment:I think the song is about a woman who felt deeply in love with mysterious man. It's a dualistic for her because she in the same breath desires and is afraid of him.

General Comment:Does anyone know for sure??? Who actually wrote these words? I dimly remember an interview with A.L. where she said this song was given to her, while staying the night at an old castle in Europe.
Is there anyway to verify this? OR am I just remembering wrong???

General Comment:The rain is clearly a metaphor for dark times, depression...I think it's definitely about unrequited love: 'talk to me/ LIKE lovers do.' They are not lovers, but she wants desperately for them to be.

General Comment:The song is about depression. ("Here comes the rain again...") Alas, Ms Lennox knew all about this subject and used her experience to give us this wonderful song, intertwining it with a picture of romance - the romance she wished for ...

General Comment:This is probably about how lonely she's feeling, she wants to love and be loved back. It's amazing how she 's able to express sadness and disappointment precisely, with such a bittersweet melody. Of course the lyrics help.

General Comment:Actually, the two in the group had been romantically involved, and decided to break it off, but still produce music together...and this was written in a hotel in new york after an argument.
