I think this is about Kurt and Courtney "He floats, he floats away, he comes back down", This must mean how he was a legend but it all ended so sudden. And "SHE comes back down" means how Courtney was popular til Tom Grant came along"

I think this track is about UFOs and possibly alien abductions. Dave once said that one of the songs off the first album referred to UFOs but didn't say which one. If that is the case, I'd say this song is a strong candidate for being the one he was referring to.

It would also fit in with the theme behind the name of the band, Foo Fighters were the names given to the unidentifed aircraft that were present during WWII.

It is about UFOs, dave said it, it was a dream he had involving UFOs. It was inevitable, seeing as the album had a Disintigrator on the front

I think its crap so many people think almost all of the foo fighters songs are about kurt and nirvana. He has other things to write about other than the short time he spent in that band.

i'm not sure exactly what this song is about, i spose the ufo thing makes a lot of sense. i love the foo fighters! i have all their albums and LOVE all of them. this song makes me so relaxed and stuff. i feel like im floating away too =D

i think this song is about how everyone thinks they are so big and bad and really they are just the same as everyone else... everyone gets high on their own things and they think they are greater than everyone else, but theres always someone who is better, cooler, bigger, whatever.

"thats not as big as whats flown around here" kind of says it all i think.

just heard this song on the acoustic show at the sydney opera house, it was awesome with petra singing it, also watch out for a new song called the ballad of the beaconsfield miners, which dave performed the instrumental for, for the first time, great song
