Hand of fate is moving and the finger points to you
He knocks you to your feet and so what are you gonna do
Your tongue has frozen now you've got something to say
The piper at the gates of dawn is calling you his way

You watch the world exploding every single night
Dancing in the sun a newborn in the light
Say goodbye to gravity and say goodbye to death
Hello to eternity and live for every breath

Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come

The ferryman wants his money you ain't going to give it back
He can push his own boat as you set up off the track
Nothing you can contemplate will ever be the same
Every second is a new spark, sets the universe aflame

You watch the world exploding every single night
Dancing in the sun a newborn in the light
Brothers and their fathers joining hands and make a chain
The shadow of the Wicker Man is rising up again

Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come

Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come

Memory:I'm not overly sure about the meaning of this song but there's a wicker man just outside the town I live in and this song makes me think of it!

General Comment:I see that at the end of 1st verse is mentioned "Piper at the gates of dawn". I don't know if is it reference to Pink Floyd album or something(someone) who inspired Pink Floyd to name their first album after. Please, send me reply whoever finds out

General Comment:The whole thing seems to be about making your own way through the world, regardless of what anyone tells you. The person the song is about seems to have died, but he won't conform to the normal 'pay the ferryman' gig. In doing so he becomes a man beyond time and death.

What I think the song is saying is that we'll all have moments inwhich we will have the choice to what everyone else does, or do what we decide. That is why the chorus says you're time will come. The question is, what will you do when your time for greatness comes? Will you follow the pack, or will you follow yourself?

General Comment:It seems to me like the song is about a guy sticking to the man, the man being in this case Death itself. The first verse is evident; The piper at the gates of dawn (I'm thinking either an angel or devil or Syd Barret) is calling the guy to paradise. There he will see time and space flash by in an instant, watching things revive and be destroyed endlessly. And then comes the refrain: your time wll come. Basically, the guy is being told that he too will eventually be destroyed and renewed. But then in the next verse, this guy shows us that he'll have none of this destroyed tripe. He shafts the boatman on the Styx (the guy who's supposed to bring him across the the river into oblivion and the afterlife) and decides to make his own way, come to the place on his own time. But then the chorus comes back: your time will come.

My Interpretation:It sounds to me like this song is about someone who was an ancient druid who avoided being sacrificed by means of the wicker man. When it says "the ferryman wants his money, you aint gonna give it back" its saying how someone basically "cheated death". Idk thats what i see in the song.

General Comment:Considering this is off the album "Brave new World" it makes me think of...well, Brave new World!
It makes me think of where Bernard wouldn't take up for John and...that other guy (it's been awhile since I read it...) when they were throwing the soma away. His TIME CAME (your time will come) but than he turned into the wicker man and wouldn't join them (I guess wicker man is a metaphor for being used by everyone else, since wicker men are sacrificed).
