H8 - is the one for me
It gives me all I need
And helps me coexist
With the chill

You make me sick
Because I adore you so
I love all the dirty tricks
And twisted games you play
On me

Space dementia in your eyes and
Peace will arise
And tear us apart
And make us meaningless again

You´ll make us want to die
I´d cut your name in my heart
We´ll destroy this world for you
I know you want me to
Feel your pain

Space dementia in your eyes and
Venus will arise
And tear us apart
And make us meaningless again

General Comment:It's a song about the devil and hell. H8 is the way the singer call Satan.
The chorus is a little bit strange. The space dementia maybe is the will of following Satan.
The rest of the song is understandable with that meaning, or maybe the full song.
The matter is that Im not english-speaking and it's difficult to find a meaning. but I read somewhere that a lot of contemporary artists sing songs to the devil, and that's because they are (a lot of them) masons, and masonry has satanist influence.

General Comment:the song is like "i have no mouth and i must scream" a game about a super computer (h8) that plays sadic games on people but keep then alive, until they kill each other for mercy

General Comment:This makes a perfect theme song to the game "Dead Space".

The coincidence in how the game and song matches up is eerie at best.

General Comment:There were three men sitting in a table. They were all staring into space out of boredom, until one of the three men decided "Let's play some Radiohead albums!". The other two agreed and he got out his copies of The Bends and OK Computer to play on the multi-disc changer. No other discs were in the player, so it was a whole marathon of those two albums. They sat on the table again, admiring the scales from quirky pop to passionate epic-ness. The soulful croons of Thom Yorke, the masterful guitar playing of Jonny Greenwood, the flesh and blood of Phil Selway, as well as the other two bandmates, battered their minds and left them speechless throughout the day. They listened to those albums over and over and over again, so many times that they can listen to these albums in their sleep, and each listen is anew to them.

Hypnotized for 48 hours straight with those two albums being played in infinity, the disc changer suddenly broke, and the three men woke up from their long-term trance. One man had an idea. "If 'Paranoid Android' is the band's longest song, clocking at six minutes, we can make songs longer than that!" Then he had even more ideas. "We can take their songs and make them better! Much much better with crescendos and everything!" The second of the three men spoke too. "We can write lyrics more people can relate to, like atheists! Instead of 'God loves his children', we can have 'I've exposed your lies, baby!'" The last of the three spoke: "We don't need complex melodies! Less is more! How about mindless arpeggios for a change?" The three men were excited and ambitious, plotting down every pretentious idea after another. One even thought he could sing like Thom Yorke, so he did.

These three men paid their homages to Radiohead by covering their songs. The songs that were covered were only Street Spirit (Fade Out) and Climbing up the Walls, re-titled to New Born and Megalomania due to copyright reasons. The former was even covered by themselves as Space Dementia! The rest of the tracks were also homages to that great band, but in the end it seemed like a parody.

General Comment:I disagree about it not being about hate. "H8" All great interpretations above. My interpretation is that he/they are comparing himself to a machine, which doesn't have a heart. "I know you want me to feel your pain" indicates that someone is suffering and he just can't have empathy. "We'll destroy this world for you" indicates that others are being brought into it but the goal is to destroy the other person.

I think this is about a person/people who are very good at expressing their (H)ATE to others. Peace is meaningless to them because then they wouldn't be able to keep tormenting/torturing (dirty tricks/twisted games) which is their objective. Peace would make their lives meaningless since they have been defined by being cold and destructive.

In gaining some perspective he sees he is getting something out of what he is doing (the torment) it helps him to be able to exist in a cold environment. "helps me to co-exist with the chill" The "space dementia" refers to the total isolation he feels from the human race when he is acting out these behaviors.

General Comment:H8 is a supercomputer used by NASA. It does NOT mean 'hate' and it does NOT mean 'Heil Hitler'

General Comment:Ok this is a pretty far off interpretation from most, but this is what I got out of the song. The song, as far as I am conscerned, is sort of an exploration into a very nihilistic philosophy about the universe. The universe is a vast and cold and terrible uncaring organism. This is why the singer is trying to "coexist with the chill", 'the chill' being that terrible feeling of emptiness in the vast nothingness of space (likely to induce the titular Space Dementia), The universe plays sick dirty tricks on us and we can not help but simultaneously hate it and yet strive to extend our short lived existence on our planet. The universe makes us want to die because it is showing us its own pain in existing. It wants us to feel its pain, which is why it exists an expands in the first place. It is drawing itself out in the hopes that something can develop out of it and bring it to its conclusion. In forcing a life form to feel its pain, it hopes that we can somehow destroy the world (universe) for it. Sentient life is ultimately an effort for the universe to commit suicide, because it can not do it by itself. 'Peace' will arise in theh end by bringing the universe to a state of nothingness, and once again, we can be without pain, experience, or meaning, just like all that time outside of its existence in the first place.

My Interpretation:I think it is about the actual case of space dimentia however when he looks at the earth all he can think about is his love and it drives him mad that he cant see her hence the reason for the lyrics

you make me sick because i adore you so

also i dont think he minds seeing these vision that the person might be having

i love all the dirty tricks
and twisted games you play on me

at the end of the song space dementia has really taken hold and visions has said many things that he would do just to see his love

you'll make us want to die
i'd cut your name in my heart
we'll destroy this world for you
i know you want me to feel your pain

and thats all i can think of.

Song Meaning:Right now this is the most meaningful song to me by Muse. I think it means that Mathew is in love with someone so much but not being with them is tearing him apart. " We'll Destroy This World For You " means that he'd do anything for this person. The begining, H8, is a computer of some kind that tracks rockets? I'm not certain of how that ties into the song other than the whole Space Dementia thing. But this feeling of his helps him cope from being away from the one he's in love with. That's just me, I respect everybody's opinion. Muse is the best band on the face of the galaxy by the way!
