Everything about you is how I'd want to be
Your freedom comes naturally
Everything about you resonates happiness
Now I won't settle for less

Give me
All the peace and joy in your mind

Everything about you pains my envying
Your soul can't hate anything
Everything about you is so easy to love
They're watching you from above

Give me
All the peace and joy in your mind
I want the peace and joy in your mind
Give me the peace and joy in your mind

Everything about you resonates happiness
Now I won't settle for less

Give me
All the peace and joy in your mind
I want the peace and joy in your mind
Give me the peace and joy in your mind

General Comment:This song may have the most incredible lyrics in human history. This song is the prelude of "Thoughts From A Dying Atheist." It is basically about consciousness. If you really think about it...lets just suppose that we have have eternal consciousness and we live beyond this physical life...that is one of the scariest propositions ever. Think about it...it never ends...goes on forever. Trapped in consciousness.

What Matt is hoping for in this song is to be absorbed by "god" and its love and joy. Consciousnes...especially eternal consciousness is a very frightening thing. Now, fast forward to TOADA...that is the antithesis of this song. Instead of eternal consciousness, you die and the lights turn out. Which one is better?

General Comment:I'm not sure what Matt's actual interpretation of this song would be, but I like to imagine it's about God.... Judging from Matt's focus on "absolution" and ideas of that nature, what other focus would make more sense than to want that feeling to be filled forever ("resonates happpiness"). I know what his views were on the church, but I'm not talking about the church.... To me it sounds like he's demanding that peace and joy.... I love that.

General Comment:This song gets me hyped up in a MINT way!!! It seems asif it's about someone who is unsettled about themselves, then looking at this other person he envies this person who is settled with themself, easily forgiving, doesnt hold grudges and has "peace and joy"

General Comment:This song is obviously about some so envious of someones outward perfection that he want to take it away from them so he doesn't have to feel so envious any more.
