Hey, hey, hey ,hey
Ohhh...

Won't you come see about me?
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby

Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out and
Love's strange so real in the dark
Think of the tender things that we were working on

Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets into your heart, baby

Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me

Will you stand above me?
Look my way, never love me
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down

Will you recognise me?
Call my name or walk on by
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down, down

Hey, hey, hey, hey
Ohhhh.....

Don't you try to pretend
It's my feeling we'll win in the end
I won't harm you or touch your defenses
Vanity and security

Don't you forget about me
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby
Going to take you apart
I'll put us back together at heart, baby

Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me

As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
When you walk away

Or will you walk away?
Will you walk on by?
Come on - call my name
Will you all my name?

I say :
La la la...

General Comment:This is 1 of my favorite songs.

Im pretty sure it is about people that went out in high school, but loose touch during college, lives, etc. He doesn't want to fit that stereotype

My Opinion:This song express love and the lack of it because of rigid social conventions.

I remember all the people I went to school with for many years and learned to know at parties/clubs etc. Today it is impossible to greet any of them when you suddenly meet them at the street years later.

We all just walk on by.

I rejoice at these really obnoxious moments, because then I know that love is the greatest thing and what most of us all seek to find in our life. Love.

General Comment:ok i am i the only simple minds fan in this world? This song is defenitely not a one hit wonder. Simple minds is one of my top 5 favorite bands and all their albums are great and so are all their songs. What everyone doesn't seem to understand is that this song is one of their worst songs, im not saying its bad but simple minds released great songs in the late 80's, 90's and a couple years ago that no one even knows about that are 10 times better than this song but their songs didn't get much publicity cause people thought they vanished after don't you forget about me.

-people need to find their own music love and stop listening to that one song that everyone else loves.
i have about 150 simple minds songs, if u agree with me i can lead u into the great path of simple minds fans. email me at crankles6392@msn.com if you want to know some more simple minds

General Comment:after watching the breakfast club--whiich, if you're under, like thirty, i think might be the first place you heard this song--i fell in love with this song, i listen to it before going to sleep, and it reminds me of every relationship you have. wondering if after you move away the friends you do'nt keep in touch will remember you, and tons of others. this song is about that fear, that not everyone looks at old pictures and remembers the name, age, birthday, family members and secret fears and dreams of all of them.

my mom and i have warped taste in music, when i happen upon a song we both like, i'm srprised, even though i know i shouldn't be. c'mon, though, i'm thirteen, my playlist consists of the beach boys, motley crue and garbage while my mom loves beyonce and chris brown. creepy.

anywho, after this song was imbedded in my veins like it was born there, i tried to get into simple minds, but sorry, i hated love song, alive and kicking, and all the others i heard. not here to talk about that though.

this song is about what i said in the first paragraph, being afraid of what will come, of seeing someone you know, that knows you, in years to come and not have them give you a scond look.

and that, is scary. but i love song. easily their best, but then, i can't really say that, can i ?

General Comment:i don't really think lovesong either...
look my way (but) never love me - thats how i sing it anyway. hard to describe what im thinking but to me its like friendship after love is it gonna be awkward or just fall back into good friends and respect the past?
