You mesmerize slowly
Till I can't believe my eyes
Ecstasy controls me
What you give just serves me right

Without warning you're here
Like magic you appear
I taste the fear

I'm so afraid
But I still feed the flame

In the night
Come to me
You know I want your touch of evil
In the night
Please set me free
I can't resist a touch of evil

Aroused with desire
You put me in a trance
A vision of fire
I never had a chance

A dark angel of sin
Preying deep from within
Come take me in

I'm so afraid
But I still feed the flame

In the night
Come to me
You know I want your touch of evil
In the night
Please set me free
I can't resist a touch of evil

Arousing me now with a sense of desire
Possessing my soul till my body's on fire

A dark angel of sin
Preying deep from within
Come take me in

I'm so afraid
But I still feed the flame

You're possessing me

Anyway this song is clearly aimed at censorship.

General Comment:Is it just me or does every Judas Priest song seem to sound like something sex and drugs related to people when it turns out to be about sci-fi?
Seriously guys, unless you're SURE about it (like it's blatantly obvious like in "Victim of Changes") then don't just assume it's about that. :P

General Comment:korm2138 may be right or may not, Halford may've been altering truth or may not, all I know is to me it's the sexiest song ever writtern and (this is coming from an 18yr old chick) I don't think It could be nearly as successful if Halford wasn't gay and definatley couldn't be pulled off buy another singer, gay or not because I think Rob Halford IS THE METAL GOD!!!

General Comment:Listen, you could probably take half of Priest's songs and figure out some way it has to do with Rob being gay. If you want an easy one go to "Eat Me Alive"

Anyway, I really like this song cause it was so moody and was a cool break in the album amongst alot of very fast and thrashy (for Judas Priest) songs

General Comment:Ok, Meatwagon is absolutely, positively right.

After a few years of listening to this song without thinking about it at all, just digging it, I stumbled upon this site while listening to "Touch of Evil".

I hadn't seen any of the opinions about the song yet, but it got me thinking about what it meant.

After a couple of careful listenings and reading the lyrics, I immediately thought it was about Rob's reluctance to accept his homosexuality.

It's pretty obvious, actually. Pretty cool, because obviously, especially back when it was written, many people, particularly the religious type, considered being gay to be "evil".

    Love the Priest.

General Comment:Also, the song title is taken from a 1957 movie made by Orson Welles, starring Charlton Heston. A fantastic movie about the struggle between dark and light and the temptation to do the wrong thing when it is easier, less risky and more rewarding. This is another movie worth renting, Netflix fans!:-)

General Comment:Fantastic song, too good for most metal fans. Video involves very different scenarios including a religious 'snake-handling' service, a clip from 'Freaks' (look it up and rent this classic) with a midget showman, a young child mesmerized by....a beautiful woman? The band? The orchestra?

Personally, it can apply to a woman I knew was bad for me, to drinking that 'one too many', giving in to a temptation. Check out the 'live in Japan' clip on YouTube, it is a great performance piece done with keyboards offstage, the crowd really responds!

General Comment:I think it about a succumbus vuisiting in the night. This seemed pretty straight foward to me. It is not about a deal with the devil or politics.
