He is holy and sensitive
On his wall a picture of the Lord
He smears the spots of the Bible
The evening meal - he loves to spread

He loves the boys of the choir
They hold their spirits in
But worry makes him the tenor
So he must be next to him
On his night table still and mute
A picture of the Lord
He turns so slowly

If the church clock strikes twice
Hallelujah
He will fold his hands in prayer
Hallelujah
He will remain without a wife
Hallelujah
So he will have to love his next
Hallelujah

The young man may stay with him
The sin nestles over the bone
So he helps to drive it out
With music and candlelight

If the church clock strikes twice
Hallelujah
He will fold his hands in prayer
Hallelujah
He will be without a wife
Hallelujah
So he will have to love his next

If the church clock strikes twice
Hallelujah
He takes his young to pray
Hallelujah
He is the true Christian
Hallelujah
And he knows, what charity is
Hallelujah

Turn around slowly
Turn around

Yet another weak translation. Here's a better one: " He is holy and very sensitive On his wall a picture of the Lord He wipes the stains off the Bible He endulges in dealing out the Communion wine / nightly meal

[Abendmahl is an ambiguous word in German; as the communion service goes back to Christ's last supper, we still use the same word for both meanings.]

He loves the choir boys They keep their souls clean But the tenor makes him full of care So he must be attending to him most On his bedside table still and mute A picture of the Lord He slowly turns it round

When the church bell strikes twice Hallelujah He folds his hands in prayer Hallelujah He has remained without a wife Hallelujah So he will have to love his neighbour Hallelujah

The young man may stay with him Sin dwells above the leg So he is pleased to help exorcizing it
    With music and candlelight.

    When the church bell strikes...

When the church bell strikes strikes twice Hallelujah He gives the boy a private sermon Hallelujah He is the true Christian Hallelujah And he knows what love thy neighbour means Hallelujah

Turn around slowly Turn around "

Since some of the other comments have confused the hell out of me, and I'm an actual Christian, I gotta go with the majority on this one. It's totally about priests molesting boys. It's kinda obvious. If Rammstein has more Christian fans (am I the only one? ;-;), they probably jumped on this one, like a lot of Apocalyptica's fans did on "I'm Not Jesus". Just another song about hypocrisy in the Catholic church, but still pretty awesome.

If you want to get this song, it is on the soundtrack for Resident Evil. It is track number 9. Rammstein rules!

I'm confused, is this song about faith or priests molesting children?

As Christian I'd like to point out that comment made no sense.

Anyway, are you sure about the meaning being of priest molestation? I could have sworn it was about The Dancing Banana (yes, THE Dancing Banana! The one of legend).

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
