Dont be an American DUMB ASS thats how, I'm not German and I understand them perfectly I am Dutch, and we get the opertunity to study Germand French and English in School, how the f*ck you think I can type english like this, I studied for it, you are all to proud to learn other languages but it only puts you behind in society!!! dumb asses

So what is real music to you? Not some whiney Brit alterna rock I hope. HAHAHA! The lyrics sound a little sexy to me.. hehe *meow* And by the way I'm very open to learning other languages. Although there are no languages courses in my area I'm still learning Swedish little by little when I'm in the mood for it. I'd like to study Linguistics and dead languages too, so there!

I understand it pretty well in German however i'm really bad in it at school hehe. But hey for me this is a great song. Maybe...it's a link to the social system today. I think. sad i can't go and see them live, the tickets are all sold out.

While speaking German I am able to understand the lyrics, I also have always felt that Till does a very good job of conveying emotion in his singing so that even if you do not know the meaning at first, you can feel the general mood of the song. i think the same is true even more so of lead singer Alexx of Megaherz.

because they dont listen to the lyrics they listen to the music and the beuitiful mellody, its the same with rammstein, the song is great, like all rammstein songs. hope that answers ure question spirit.

A lot of people I know who listen to opera do so because they like the story involved. They don't need to understand the lyrics. The melodies, yes, absolutely beautiful. And besides, what is REAL music? Eh, spirit? Real music involves musicians. Whether they be singers, pianists, flautists... whatever, I don't really care. I enjoy playing music, and listening to music for what it is, and I'm not going to let anyone stop me.

If it sounds good, listen to it. I think the German language (no offense) is rough and cruel sounding, and fits the rough and cruel sound of rock perfectly. My thoughts exactly, bobo. And fuck spirit for being ignorant.

I like the video better than I did the song. I also like the german version better than the english. I was reading previous responses to the song and although most of them had nothing to do with the song itself. But its kool. Rammstein is a good band I been listening them for 5 years. And now I can understand them.

Excuse me, but americans do learn other languages, mostly french and spanish, given there are french speaking people to the north and spanish speaking people to the south... (i am persomaly learning french and german)

It's just us Englishmen and Americans have been so accustomed to people learning OUR language. There are acceptions, but i cannot count how many times i have heard people's disgust at Rammstein for singing in their own language. It pisses me off. My German isn't too good after i dropped it at school (Teachers weren't that good), but i will take it in college and at University. About time a foreign language singing band got some recognition. Keep it up

Who really gives a fuck about what the song means? I mean, all you people just argue about how shitty Rammstein is. They might not sing in English, but that shouldn't prevent them from being a kick-ass band. They sound good and people, such as myself, like them, and that's all that really matters.
