This is a song that reminds me of long distance relationships. Hopefully for someone out there, they can work out. When I first heard this song I had met a guy on holiday living in the South of England, where I live in the North. It can break your heart to be apart for so long, but all it takes is the one you love to know that they're waiting for you.

I myself am going through this. I have a gurl who had to go to anther state (normally i would dump the girl),but something made me feel as though i had to wait for her.She is now miles apart from me,but i told her i would give her all the freedom she needed but i would wait for her. i've kept true to my promise for 3 months and this song is what i sing to her over the phone.

i look at kat e b's message and right away i think of my boyfriend in england. i live over here in the states (maryland). i met him on vacation in the bahamas and we really hit off, we had everything in common. we spent the whole week together. we fell in love it was so obvious. well it's been 2 months since then and we're still together, thank god, but like in the song, the pain still goes on even when i talk to him on instant messanger or on the fone. i will always love ben, and i'll never ever forget him or our vacation together no matter what. he means the world to me, and i'd do anything to see him again. i hope to god that we get married some day...it would complete my dreams! i'll always be right here waiting for u.

I love this song and dedicate it to Ray, we're living far from each other now..He lives on the west-coast and I was moved away with my family to the east-coast. This song makes me think of him. I miss you so much Ray!!!!!! I love you!

i dedicate this song to my bf, mark.. he lives in NJ and i live in CA.. we've been going out for almost 15 months now.. and i'm still waitin for him to come here and hold me in his arms.. we haven't met yet.. but really it doesn't matter to me anymore.. cause it feels like i've known him forever and no matter what as long as we love each other.. then we can make it through this.. its funny because all my friends told me that long distant relationships never work out.. but mine has =) and it's going to stay that way.. this song rocks! his voice is beautiful and the words and heck the music really tug on those heartstrings... what else can I say? *sigh* someone said he's so very romantic, well, with this song especially *here i go sighing again* and... he needs to come back soon, but even so this will always be truly classic richard marx.

so uhhhh, how can you be in love with someone you've never met? what if they are a fake or really some 70 year old creep? yeah idk maybe its just me.....anyway, this song is beautiful and it reminds me of me and my boyfriend. we live in the same valley but sometimes we cant see eachother because we are on different schedules constantly, but i will wait for him forever, and he will always wait for me. but we will be living together soom so im nto even gonna trip about it. byeee

It's very easy to love someone you never met. It's called phone calls and e-mails. Phone calls to know that they really aren't some 70 year old guy who lives in his mother's basement. I've been in a long distance relationship for quite a while, about 3 years.. Worked out more then perfect. I love her and nothing will change that, this song. Well, it's an amazing song yes, and it is how I feel towards my girl. I would wait forever to just get to touch her, stare into her eyes. And all of that stuff.
