Soon the chain reaction started in the parking lot
Waiting to bleed on the big streets
That bleed out on the highways and
Off to others cities built to store and
Sell these (plastic) rocks
Well aren't you feeling real dirty
Sitting in the parking lot
Sitting in the parking lot

Waiting to bleed on the big streets
That bleed out on the highways and
Off to other cities built to make and
Store these rocks

Well aren't you feeling real dirty
Sitting in your car with nothing
Waiting to bleed on the big streets
That bleed out on the highways and
Off to other cities built to store and sell
There's nothing

Convenient parking (is way back, way back)
Convenient parking (is way back, way back)
Convenient parking (is way back, way back)

My Opinion:As a simple fellow addicted to heroin, I think this song is pretty simple.

Every time I'm waiting for my dealer to call back saying he can get my boy, I'm just sitting in parking lots.. (waiting to bleed on the big streets.)

My whole problem is this constant nagging of wanting to get away. (that bleed out on the highway)

But seems no matter where I go or what I do, I seem to keep coming to places that are.. (other cities built to store and sell these rocks.) conveniently stocked with drugs.

And as a junkie I absolutely hate that I'm addicted to heroin. It's a real big inconvenience. (Well aren't you feeling real dirty, sitting in the parking lot)

AND WHAT MAKES IT WORSE IS - (Well aren't you feeling real dirty
Sittin' in your car with nothing.) Not only am I a junkie, I have no fucking drugs !!

I hope this opens up some minds or anything. Sorry if me admitting I'm a drug addict offends anyone. I just thought someone would actually appreciate my input although they don't approve of my lifestyle.

My Interpretation:I think it's about a crack deal in a parking lot and being a bit ashamed your life has come to this point. A buddy got shot and is bleeding while they're driving down the highway.

Memory:One time, on the Fourth of July, I was tripping and walking to the community park, where there was a bunch of shit going on. I was listening to this song and watching everyone converge onto the bike paths heading to the park. As I got closer to the park, the paths got bigger and more direct, and they were filled with more and more people. It was really surreal, watching the flow of people, everyone going to the same place.
"A chain reaction started in the parking lot, waiting to bleed out onto the big streets that bleed out onto the highways" felt very, very appropriate.

General Comment:In this same interview Isaac says that anyone can interpret the song as they want, so, I'm not disproving the drug theory.

    Interviewer: "Convenient Parking?"
Isaac Brock: It's supposed to keep going on like that ... you drive through the country, you end up looking at the same thing, different city to parking lot to whatever. You know what I mean? It is what it is, there's not much hidden there. The song's about what it sounds like it's about.

General Comment:After reading everyone elses comments it makes sense now. To me when I first heard this song I thought it was about selling drugs and the migration of certain drugs like Meth.

I've had many times where I had to sit in parking lots waiting and actually felt dirty, then the dealers spread it to other towns to other people who do the same thing and sit in parking lots selling to other people.

he's not going to openly talk about drugs in an interview like that. it's definitely about drugs. just like other people before me said, the chain reaction of the drugs spreading starts in the parking lot where the convenient parking is way in the back where the exchange happens. and you're waiting there to "bleed" or spread onto the big streets and the highways and other cities. and these other cities (not your own hometown) are built to store (keep) and sell these drugs. and you're feeling real dirty waiting there because you know the that context of what's happening isn't what most people consider a clean way of going about things. dont be naive just because he puts on his happy social acceptable mask during an interview.

    ^^And that's straight from Isaac's mouth.

My Interpretation:"Convenient parking is way FAST!"... not "back"

Kinda gives the song a whole new meaning.

General Comment:are you people serious, convient parking refers to buying and selling drugs arent you feeling real dirty sitting in the parking lot....with nothing. and off to other cities built to store and sell these rocks
convient parking is way back... i went to the high school issac and friends went to issaquah highschool in issaquah wa not sammamish it probably wasnt even a city at that point..
i have met older people that new issac he was into drugs you can tell from these lyrics.. not all songs have a deep ass metaphor to them sometimes what ti means is so obvious that you people over analyse it and kill the meaning.
