White Zombie – More Human Than Human

  General Comment:When this song came out, I thought for awhile that it had something to do with Friedrich Nietzsche's book. The phrase "More Human Than Human" sounds like something from Nietzche's "Human, All Too Human" or "Thus Spoke Zarathustra".

  General Comment:I believe this is also a take on the 1954 sci fi Novel by Theodore Sturgen "More than human" which is about a group of people with evolved powers, that can band together to be a "superhuman power" and discover anti gravity. They also murder one of thier members and drive another insane. great book

  General Comment:it is clearly about blade runner. and "i am electric head, a cannibal core a television said" is just in reference to the robots. Everyone knows that the replicants dont last long, they destroy themselves from the inside (cannibal core) and it is well advterised (a television said). The electric head portion refers to the replicants, but all of us at the same time.
  
  Electric head parts 1 and 2, evidently about sex. We are all sex-driven beings, its encoded in our DNA we are ROBOTS with programming. We have functions and other uses, but when you eliminate all the bells adn whistles we are like evey other life form on the planet: Breeders.

  General Comment:I used to take a lot of acid in high school, back in the 90's, and it seems to me Rob Zombie did too. And when on acid, different music lets you see different visuals. The whole seeing sound thing. and i listened to la sexorcisto, but never astro creep while tripping. But, Zombie would through me into the wickedest power-trips, projecting the craziest scenes all around. but, this song seems like it's trying to evoke a bad-trip, or even suicide if someone were on enough acid. good thing bands can't get sued or prosecuted for that stuff anymore.
  
  "A Phantom in a box" might suggest to someone, on acid, that there's a live entity in the radio.
  
  "Shadow in your Head" might suggest possession.
  
  "acid Suicide freedom Of the blast" might suggest to someone on a bad-trip, that just wanted it to be over, that they would find freedom through the blast of a gun.

  General Comment:believe me its about blade runner. hell dragula is about herman munster's drag racing car. lol. any way yes the nexus 6 were androids in blade runner. tyrell corp uses the term more human than human to portray the androids abilities and their unforseen abilities to have human emotions. I am the jigsaw man. i turn the world around with a skeleton hand. yes this is an android who was built and returned to earth (against the law for androids) who "turns the world around". he also tears into his heart and tears his soul apart just like the androids who harbor human emotions even though robots supposedly cannot. I want more love fucker i ain't done refers to the replicant androids returning to dr. tyrell to extend their 4 year life span. prax22 also has the right idea so i wont retype his words

  General Comment:imo...the first verse refers to the phantom of the opera. the 'phantom in the box' and the 'shadow in your head' is the ghost of the believed dead composer that haunts the box seat that no one will sit in. 'acid suicide' is when the wronged composer goes to destroy his stolen works. he burns down the publisher's house by mistake and while trying to put out the fire he throws 'acid' in his own face. in pain and despair he throws himself into the drainage committing 'suicide'. 'the fucker lies' refers to the composer that plagiarized his works. the 'scratch off the broken skin' is when the midget heals him and 'tear into my heart make me do it again' is his passion for his work revisited and his love of the young singer he trains. zombie's references go in the same order as the story.
  
  the second verse is the 'jigsaw man'. this is frankenstien's monster and rollo's debut horror novel. you guys can figure out the rest of the verse for yourself. it will take some reading.
  
  the third is the 'ripper man'. this is jack the ripper. have fun with this one. if you can't figure it out you don't know jack....the ripper that is.
  
  i think the chorus and the last two lines have something to do with the movie blade runner. all of the characters described here make up rob zombie. 'astro creep' and 'crawling dead' refer to zombie himself and zombie in general. he is also frankenstien's monster, the phantom of the opera and jack the ripper because he identifies with the characters. including roy batty the replicant. also it has a funky beat and i can bug out to it.

  General Comment:not that it really defines the song in anyway, but i do like in the video that a person in a monkey/apew suit is holding the sign that reads "more human than a human"- could definitely take that image pretty far and talk about how the primates can be a much more civil society than us humans with divine rational thinking and such, yet still kill each other every day over meaningless things we have assigned value to.

  General Comment:Man I love this f%&#ing song so f%&#ing much! Got no idea what it means but my sister and i think it must be about his , like, drug battle, with how it kills him inside. Gotta love the very beginning when the girl is making those erotic satisfied sounds. That guy must have killer wood.

  General Comment:I saw blade runner for the first time a 4-5 years ago was like, wait isn't all this shit in the lyrics of More Human than Human ? But yea, definitely about that movie. Most of white zombie's stuff is about sci/fi and horror films. White Zombies a movie I think.
