    General Comment:Too bad some people still don't get the true meaning of this wonderful song and make those silly jokes( Personally I fell in love with this song from the first time I heard it over the radio. Remember how happy I was to find it later by byfiles.com">byfiles.com search) As a rule I don't pay much attention to lyrics, following the tune mostly, but this time it was different. It's one of my favourite songs actually.

    General Comment:well he didnt do heroin til after the album, but i think he did a lot of psychedelic drugs in his youth, and he had a drinking problem. and yeah his ex-wife is mary forsberg, i always thought that was weird

    General Comment:I don't think the meaning of this song is overly deep...

    The music is trippy, and it sounds like he's pretty stoned. He got ready for Mary to come over and spend the night and she's missing. She's probably off somewhere too messed up on drugs to move--->"check the bathroom"

    At the end he's just too messed up to comprehend what's going on.

    Obvious reference here---> "water cleanses" talking about baptism.
