Forward yesterday Makes me wanna stay
What they said was real Makes me wanna steal
Living under house Guess I'm living I'm a mouse
All's I gots is time Got no meaning just a rhyme

Take time with a wounded hand 'cause it likes to heal
Take time with a wounded hand 'cause I like to steal
Take time with a wounded hand 'cause it likes to heal,
I like to steal

I'm half the man I used to be (This feeling as the dawn it fades to gray)

Feeling uninspired think I'll start a fire
Everybody run Bobby's got a gun
Think you're kinda neat then she tells me I'm a creep
Friends don't mean a thing Guess I'll leave it up to me.

Take time with a wounded hand 'cause it likes to heal
Take time with a wounded hand 'Guess i like to steal
Take time with a wounded hand 'cause it likes to heal,
I like to steal

I'm half the man I used to be (This feeling as the dawn it fades to gray)
Angst..

Song Meaning:This song has two meanings:

    1) This song is about being raped and molested by a creep. Scott Weiland, the singer/leader of the band, said that he was raped when he was 12 years old by an older kid who rode the bus with him. The kid invited him over to his house and then raped him. Hence the lines "I'm half the man I used to be" and "Take time with a wounded hand 'cause it likes to heal."

    2) This song is about pain, alienation and being a social outcast. He feels like an outsider, a creep and no one accepts him. As a result, he loses motivation and doesn't care about much of anything including friends.

General Comment:Going off of what ophelia219 said, it could be similar-lyrically-to Pearl Jam's 'Jeremy'. Kid dealing with shit from other kids, can't take it anymore-but instead of suicide, he shoots up the school. Just a thought.

General Comment:as a musician and song writer, my interpritation of this song is that it's lyric focal point is woven mainly into the third verse... "think your kinda neat, then she tells me Im a creep" is a direct relationship reference, where as most of the other eliments of this song seem feeling/emotion "filler" oriented writing...

Most new relationships are fun and exciting... sometimes musicians carry crowds-x's and baggage that never go's away... when the new partner realises that they cant change you or deal with the baggage, and when the fun and excitment have began to fade, it's easy for shallow people to chose to not be understanding at all, call you a creep and move-on is the easy way out...

It's basically the same idea as Radiohead's Creep. He is infatuated (or just interested) in a girl and she thinks he's a creep. Then he barricades himself in, "Friends don't mean a thing, guess I'll leave it up to me." He leaves his life for seclusion.
    Greeeeeeeeat song.
