Sit down, stand up
Sit down, stand up
Walk (sit down) into the jaws of hell
Walk (stand up) into the jaws of hell
Anytime (sit down)
Anytime (stand up)
Sit down, stand up
Sit down, stand up
We (stand up) can wipe you out anytime
We (sit down) can wipe you out
Anytime
Anytime
Stand up
Sit down
Oh
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops
The rain drops

General Comment:I thought "the raindrops" was "arrange us", which would make sense with the "sit down. stand up." I like both versions, actually. :)

My Interpretation:Its about the Illuminati controlling them.....
"We can wipe you out anytime"
They can be taken out of the industry or even killed off anytime

    "The rain drops"
The infamous rain/rainman reference made by almost every artist out there. Rainman is often code word for the Illuminati used by artists

General Comment:Eh as fa as Thom saying "it just sounded cool in the studio " about the raindrops part , i can see that since he is one of the few singers out there who actually uses his voice as an instrument and blends it a lot of times with the music. I can also see the other side of the argument that he isnt gonna ust come out and tell you what his songs mean , that takes the mystique out of it all if you ask me , so i think he was just kind of sassing the reporter there . I feel like the song is about control , plain and simple on whatever level you want to apply it to.

General Comment:Of Course Fingerspitz was right. But I couldn't just explain it plain and simple like he did. Just like a wheater forecast. I'd have to pick on all the retards who believe that just because Thom made fun of your ignorance on an interview it's actaully true that it has no meaning. I mean, I honestly can't understand, how can you be so stupid?!?!

No song from a band that makes good music could possibly be political!! That would mean you couldn't relate to it on a personal level. Well of course you couldn't since you're too busy getting brainwashed further. You wouldn't dream of double thinking bad about the saviour machine that gives you food and entertainment.

So why not stick to something else? Why do you come here? For Fuck's sake it's called songmeanings. What part of that don't you understand? It's bad enough that some of you fuck heads disagree with the good comments but to say that it doesn't mean anything? Now that's just moronic.

Everytime i analyse an album I have to go through 7-8-9 pages/song of idiotic writing, to find that only a quarter have a basic idea of what it's about and 2-3 intelligent comments of what it's trully about. Because even though it might have different layers, meanings or metaphors songs and albums from bands like radiohead are trully about SOMETHING. This album is political with reffrences from 1984 whether you like it or not. If you don't feel like reading just stay away!

General Comment:I agree with Fingerspitz. This is about political posturing and military aggression and "raindrops" reference bombs.

Thom Yorke doesn't allude to the meaning of his lyrics because it would cheapen their meaning.

General Comment:this song is about the vietnam war. the soldiers came to vietnam town and captured the civillians, and continuously told them to "sit down" then "Stand up" again and again
