Where I End and You Begin. (The Sky Is Falling In.)

I love Sortilegus' thoughts on this song. [Last post, page 2]

I'd like to expand on his explanations and apply the title of the album into this song.

Lets think that this song is both from the perspective of God and of "The Human Race".

I'm going to put a line by line description, so beware of length.

There's a gap in between there's a gap where we met where I end and you begin.

God thinks [or knows] humans are falling away from him. Humans think [or know] God is forsaking them.

and I'm sorry for us the dinosaurs roam the Earth the sky turns green Where I end and you Begin.

God is sorry that things have turned out this way. He knows that he had control over the dinosaurs, but he 'ended' them with a little present from space. I've heard just before a impact, or right after, the sky turns an eerie green, this is a warning of God's plan, and a reminder of what has already happened. He tells us that where he ends, and we begin, is the beginning of the end. [cliché alert...hahah..]

Humans are sorry for the way they are, they're always begging for forgiveness to God. Humans know how the dinosaurs quickly perished, and don't understand their actions will repeat, and its only time that is saving us. We're polluting the atmosphere and turning it 'green' [taken from sortilegus' explanation] and this angers God more. Where we end, God begins to work on another race.]

I am up in the clouds I am up in the clouds and I Can't and I can't come down -

God lives there. and he's not sending down his savior, like people think. He's up there to stay and hold his domain over earth.

Humans [brains, and thoughts, using chemicals to experience this] imaginations are far fetched and unrealistic. They can't change, and they can't break the addictions to fantasy, drugs, whatever distracts our brains and puts us in the clouds.

I can watch, but not take part where i end and where you start where you, you left me alone you left me along.

God will watch us die, but he wont come down and help us out. We forsake him before by doing what we do. We brought this upon ourselves. God says "where you, you left me alone" is now truly leaving us alone. After years of putting his word out there and telling us "I'll always be there for you, you can always confide in me." well no more. God is leaving us alone, because we did for so many generations.

Humans, will be cowardly, we'll watch it happen on TV, but we won't correct it. we'll stand by and idle, and we'll meet our end. We'll keep asking God, "You are leaving us alone out here God, where are you?" and the answer is clear, he was there, until we left God alone, and this is what we get.

X' will mark the place, like parting the waves like a house falling in the sea.

God's wrath is targeting earth, or the people who have ignored him, or whatever he wants. and like it was so easy for Moses to part the waves, he'll use his own power and throw a 'house into the sea'. whether that be eerily reminiscent to the asteroid that wiped out dinosaurs, or whatever. we'll be the target.

I will eat you alive / There will be no more lies.

God will finish us off, humans will lie no more.

Humans will eat each other alive, to survive, - there will be no more lies from governments, or no more lies about religion, because it won't exist anymore...

applying Hail to the Thief to this song,

Hail to the Thief, if applied would be -

God - 'hail' to the humans, who are the thieves, who stole what I gave them [independent thought, ect.] and used it for terrible things.

Humans - 'hail' to [the] God, who stole everything we made. Even us who are in the image of God couldn't satisfy him.

and these are just my 1 a.m. thinkings about this song, but I feel there are some areas that pretty deep.
