General Comment:Does anyone listen to boards of canada? this song is strikingly similar to a BoC song called "Treeline" (also having the obvious similar title) I was wondering if it had any correlation to it.
I also know Radiohead used "Roygbiv" by BoC in one of there songs, so it's a possibility!

General Comment: Trees are one of natures most beautiful pieces, they give a lot to animals, us the most, yet we neglect them. They silently watch as days go by, standing tall and proud, but given no honor. They are the volunteers that do the most, but then the credit goes somewhere else. There are many important things in life, but I feel trees are definitely at the top.

General Comment:How the hell is this just noise? It's music for God's sake.
Plzzz, just bcause it's instrumental doesnt mean it's not good.

General Comment:The trees can not lie.Watch it during sunrise in the forest. Can you see it's fingers reaching for the Sun?
For a while, imagine yourself as a tree...
It can help to realize who we are...
Because the trees can not lie...

    People can lie...sometimes it's fatal...

General Comment:I LOVE Treefingers! I cannot understand why so many people see this beautiful instrumental as filler. I only just listened to Kid A today and I believe this track is a pivotal part of its 'storyline', a time for reflection and growth. I was convinced of this because Optimist starts so suddenly after it, removing you from its calmness like a new scene in a movie. As you grow up, your hands become larger, stronger and more capable, but also more battered and rough, rather like the surface of a tree. So maybe it's about Kid A's maturity. I love listening to this song when I need to unclutter my mind.

General Comment:yeahhh..this is a great yoga song, it's barely a song, but it is enough to give you that background ambience. the first time i heard it, i thought of being lost in a dark forest or just on some alien landscape. calm but eerie, because i didn't know there were no lyrics coming up!

General Comment:about the transition from high school into reality. kid A is about the order of stages of your life (matching with ages). pieamerica is pretty correct on this one.
