Lyric Correction:I think the last verse, starting "And now I gotta do some...", isn't Jewell but instead The Lady of Rage (look her up on Wikipedia), as she's featured on the song according to Wikipedia and this page on The Finest Hip Hop blog: finesthiphop.blogspot.com/2009/07/…

In fact, the full "featured" list for this song is quite long. It should be:

Bitches Ain't Shit [ft. Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Snoop Dogg, Jewell & The Lady Of Rage]

Song Meaning:Dre's verse is exclusively about Eazy-E.

I used to know a bitch named Eric Wright (Obviously this has nothing whatsoever to do with bitches but about Eazy-E, because of the NWA fued. I am on Eazy-E's side of that but I still enjoy all NWA members as well as Ben Folds music.)

He describes his friendship with Eazy a.k.a Eric Wright.

He then goes on to say that the bitch (Eazy-E) was hanging with the white bitch (Jerry Heller) and by "sucking his dick" he is saying that Eazy-E was being swindled out of his money. He belied Ruthless Records co-founder was a bad man who was exploiting Eazy and the rest of the group.

Eazy E had executive producer credits to Dr Dre's music at this time, so even his diss songs towards Eazy were actually giving him money. Dre in the meantime was getting together with Suge Knight to form Death Row Records. Suge Knight is a huge strongman and intimidator. Dre lured Eazy to a building where Suge and other large men threatened him with Louisville Sluggers forcing Eazy to release Dre from the contacts. The only reason Eazy signed was because Jerry had told him that if his life went to danger, he needed to get out of it and they could settle the illegal dispute in court later on. It wasn't worth dying. This is the "bitch" taking him to court.

General Comment:I agree with MyDearWatson. Some might dismiss this as mysoginistic, but the "bitches" Dre is referring to are really just the people in his life that turned on him or stabbed him in the back. Not all women are bitches, and some men (like Eazy-E according to Dre) are bitches too. This song is about the same stuff as thousands of other songs: not letting people that want to bring you down get in your way. Because they aren't really shit to begin with.

General Comment:This song is about losing trust, tossing in some beautiful imagery and even throwing in the political aspect. These lyrics deeply touch me and I hope that Dr Dre can reach out to all of you as well.
